Tegan and Jesus, we are an english couple who are now living here in south west France in the Dordogne near the border of the Charente
We live in a rural area, we are situated in a small village with a sleepy bar, and in summer the area has an influx of holidaymakers.
We are currently building our own house and have a wood workshop/art studio. We live in a converted lorry whilst we build our house and have a cabin/hut specially built so the helper has their own private space to sleep and spend time as well as being able to share our space. We grow food organically and have chickens (for eggs); and a couple of 'micro'pigs as 'pets' (as we promised the people who gave us them we wouldn't eat them !)

We would hope that the people visiting could help either with construction of our house or in the vegetable garden with tasks such as weeding. and harvesting. Our ethos as hosts is to share company and meet people and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere enjoying the outdoor life As ... more inside

we have a large, country house very close to St Emilon in the Gironde. The village is very small and typical in the centre of a world famous wine growing region. We are looking for someone who has experience in plumbing and electrical work and who would be interested in giving us a hand for a few hours each day during the summer, allowing plenty of time to explore the local areas of interest. We offer board and lodging in exchange and the wonderful opportunity to learn or practice the French language. We are close to Bordeaux airport and there is a railway link very close to St Emilion.

A family run gite business, with 5 gites. We are close to St Cyprien 24. We are looking for a couple who would be prepared to do change over days (Saturday), other cleaning, gardening and light repair work, like painting, mending and pool upkeep etc.

We would offer a one bedroom gite (apartment) in exchange for the above. However, we are already booked for this season, so would require this exchange from September onward.

We are in need of help urgently, with rebuilding the front of our house as the bad weather has caused it to collapse, also help in building a gallery for my husbands picture framing business, and we would like to set up a vegetable garden and raised herb garden. I am in my mid 50's married for 37yrs, have 4children who are all married with children of there own, and live away from home. We live in a large 350yr old French farm house, which we have been doing up for 20yrs on a small budget, which has become more difficult since my husband fell and broke his back, there are lots of opportunities for gardening, building, and general renovation work.
After 30 odd years in the removal business, since his fall my husband has opened a picture framing business. I enjoy water colour painting, and lots of crafts, e.g. sewing/embroidery, lace making, knitting, and we are willing to share our skills. We try to be as active as possible, and enjoy walking, cycling, and swimming in our pool, we ... more inside

We are a small family of 3 to 5 renovating a big house to host tourists and/or young seniors(!) and trying to attract nice people in a small and lost French village in the middle of nowhere.

We have spent 8 years in Maroubra, NSW and miss the melting pot, other languages and cultures.

We would welcome anybody who can hold a paint brush for a few hours, or speak English with us so we don't forget it all...
We are located in a kind of nowhere but there are a lot of fun places to visit around. Need a car thought...there are no train here, buses available from Bordeaux (1 hour) or bike for the braves.
