Come to Lofty Meadows, and help recover our organic gardens and return them to their former glory.

Our 5 acre block is situated in Highvale, Queensland. We are just 35km north west of Brisbane at the base of the D'Aguliar range. The area is rural and we are surrounded by beautiful mountains. Mt. Glorious is the closest and with an altitude of 600m and it's lush sub tropical rainforests has a wealth of bush walks for people to enjoy. Our surrounding local communities are rich in the arts with Mt.Nebo and Mt.Glorious being the hub for local artists and musicians.

The accommodation is in a rustic recycled timber hut we built in the forest Our place is simple and not for the faint hearted accustomed to expensive accommodation.

We also have insects and the usual Australian wildlife, SNAKES & SPIDERS included...all a part of living in the bush. To us it is very civilised and our three children and all our helpers are safe but if you don't like nature you probably won't like... more inside

My home is in Tiaro, just 26kms south of Maryborough in Queensland and about 55kms from Harvey Bay.

I am presently looking for some help to build a POLLY TUNNEL, of sorts, over my Vegie Garden & spend an Christmas, Aussie style, in a quiet Aussie home.

I have a 3 Bedroom, 1 Bath.home on 1500sq m block, close to shops etc.

I can offer a room with Queen Bed, Laundry, TV, and meals in exchange for help in the Garden & around the home.
As the weather warms up, I like to go for picnics & do a little fishing. I have friends over for BBQ's regularly, don't need an excuse for a BBQ around here.

I am a Chef (retired) love cooking and have started to make Cheese (trying!!)at home.

Tiaro is a small, quiet but friendly Town on the Bruce H'way, in the heart of Sugercane fields. It is serviced daily by Greyhound Busline.

It is about a 40min. drive to the Beaches etc at Harvey Bay, there is also a Bus services from Maryborough to the Bay.

Currently looking for two girls to help plant new young avocado trees. No experience necessary. It is not hard work.
We are Todd and Wiebke, Marlo and our newborn Millie and we live on a Horse, avocado and lime farm outside of Toowoomba (1.5 hrs from Brisbane). We have horses. And we also have a border collie named Pebbles.
Wiebke works in accountancy and Todd is an aircraft engineer and works on helicopters. Todd is Australian and Wiebke grew up in Germany.
We have both travelled a lot through Europe, South East Asia, Canada and Australia and we know how great it is to see a bit of the local life instead of one hostel after the other.

Volunteer work could include:
: feeding the animals
: farm work
: some baby sitting
: house cleaning etc
: Horse training if experienced.

You don't need to know anything about farming but as long as you give everything a try and your best effort then we are happy to have you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Gday Funseekers! Easy-goin Fun-luvin Canadian dude seeks like-minded to share in Mountain biking, walking, 4x4, flying (small aircraft lands on beach!), boating or kayaking adventures at Fraser Island, Utopia (mountain rock pools- see photos), Great Sandy Straits (whale watching, boating, fishing) and surrounds. I've worked as a Ranger-guide on Fraser for many years with Kingfisher with extensive experience mountain biking there (you can't bike everywhere there as the sand tracks are commonly too soft to ride as they are continuously torn up by 4x4s). We are in no rush in our fun-seeking and the ride is fantastic! Far better than the 4x4 coaches I used to drive! I love the island and surrounding area and would love to share it with you. Come enjoy it as mother nature intended with environmentally sensitive biking, hiking, fishing, or boating (wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, crabbing, spear fishing) tours to suit. Or if ya don't have much time, I can be convinced into piling into one o... more inside

*Looking for someone to start the week of November 20.*

We are Barb and Dave and daughter Meg (18) and we live in koala country just north of Toowoomba. We have about 30 hectares that we are preparing for cattle, but at the moment we have just a few horses. We are fun and easy going, and we are looking for a girl or a couple of girls to help out.

Barb works full time at the university and Dave works away, so we can always do with a hand on big jobs, gardening and keeping up with the housework. Barb trains and competes one of the horses in dressage, so travellers can help out by cleaning stables, helping feed and rug, prepare for shows etc.

Barb is very patient and happy to teach travellers about horses, but unfortunately, we don't have a horse quiet enough to teach people to ride or for people with not much riding experience :-( At the moment, we don't have a second riding horse, but hope to get one soon so we can take riding travellers on trail rides again.

Artist is seeking handy people with "some" skills in building or bush living to come stay on a fully wooded Bush block deep in original scrub on the Isis River near Childers. Its a completely Off-Grid creative space that needs food gardens to be developed. A vintage caravan is available that will suit two people or three if volunteers have a campervan. It is also a great place to settle down and do some writing or art. Theres power tools etc.

Free accomodation, with electricity and internet. 7 minutes from Childers town and seasonal work. I will make the occasional feast but would prefer to share duties. All i want is help in finishing a few parts of the infrastructure and then getting on with making a food-garden. Theres lots of interesting stuff to read, listen to and see here for the culturally curious too. Email is best for contact.
