Hi, we are looking for help with painting and decorating for our house. There isnít much to do thanks to our previous help we received. We would also greatly appreciate a native mandarin speaker to help with our childrenís homework and help with general house cleaning. Mainly the kitchen after meals. We live in a lovely house in Finchley Central which is about half an hour from central London by tube. We have two children aged 9 and 11 so you must be kid friendly. There are three cats that appear when they are hungry too.
We can offer you your own bed room with an ensuite shower room overlooking our garden and full board. We are looking for someone immediately who can stay for about a month or two. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate families or couples.
Many thanks
Ps we are a strictly non smoking family.

We will be hosting Helpx again in 2018 and we offer a double room with en-suite bathroom, plus meals, for 20 hours work per person per week, based on working 9.00 to 13.00 five days. We have about an acre of ground at home, plus we have another acre and a half 10 mins walk away. We especially enjoy gardening, both flowers and vegetables. We welcome help with garden work, such as outdoor painting, weeding, and mending, as well as daily care for the animals. The work will often involve active jobs, e.g. cutting brambles and wood, moving manure, digging etc, so you need a reasonable level of mobility/fitness, and it is helpful (but not at all essential) if you are willing to use power tools, such as strimmer and mower! If you would like to join us for a while you will need working clothes and suitable outdoor working footwear, as we still work if the rain is not too heavy! However, if the weather is too bad to work outdoors, ordinary domestic jobs such as housework may be involved, ... more inside

We live in West Cornwall, in a rural setting, 4 miles from Lands End and 4 miles from the nearest surfing beach (Sennen).

We have 3 granite barns and 3/4 acre garden. We run a Wild Food Cookery School called Fat Hen from one of the barns here. See the website link.

We are located next to a dairy farm, 3 miles from the nearest village and 2 miles from the nearest bus stop.

We are down a 1/2 mile farm track in a very peaceful and beautiful landscape. 5 minutes walk down a beautiful old green lane from our house is the ancient stone circle of 'Boscawen-un'

We are a busy family with three young children (age 14,10 & 6), a dog, and cat. Frank works as a doctor (G.P) and Caroline runs the cookery school. We are looking for help in January & February 2018. Also between March & July 2018..

We are happy to have one person or a couple and have a cabin in the garden with a double bed. You will have use of the cookery school facilities which includes wifi; stereo; home c... more inside

SPACE FOR A TWO TO THREE WEEK STAY FOR A FLUENT ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON STARTING 10TH OF JANUARY to help me and one other lovely Spanish helper construct a shed.

I run a bed and breakfast here on the North Norfolk coastline, being located just half a mile from a sandy beach that you can walk to easily. I have a bike you can use but of course your own car would be a bonus to you.
I don't have children to contend with so am not looking for a built in baby sitter!
Very quiet and laid back here with lots of wildlife and natural stuff... no night clubs so you must be happy to accept that fact although there are two local pubs within walking distance and I have a tendency to enjoy a bottle of vodka on occasions or two.

TASKS ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR A MALE APPLICANT

Four hours for five days per week, two whole free days at your choice in return for a comfortable bed, power shower and home-cooking and some trips out and about (next one is horse racing on 15th of January and stayin... more inside

Taking helpers Jan 2018
We've recently moved into an old house on the edge of a small town in SW England. It needs work - painting, carpentry, construction, so men are preferred for 2-4 weeks. We also need someone who is good with marketing ebooks, editing and drawing.
You will have a comfortable room and great food and wifi. The town has all amenities and is on the main railway line to London.
There will be plenty of trips out to surrounding towns and countryside. Stonehenge is about 30 mins away by car.
I should point out that we do NOT cater for vegetarians or anyone who has particular dietary needs. Tell us if there's anything you don't eat.

Here are some reviews from helpers at our house in Spain:-

From: Ireland Date: October 2, 2014
Well I don't know where to begin. Mike and John were two of the nicest people I have ever met. I had been 6 months away from home when I arrived in Galicia but I never felt homesick once with them.
The work was very doable. Any garden... more inside

Hello Dear Helpxers!

Skilled and unskilled workers equally needed all year round.

We have the privilege of managing a beautiful country house that is used for B&B, Retreats and Weddings in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside.

This house was built in 1856 and was a family home originally. In recent years it has been developed as a B&B with 8 bedrooms, a conference and retreat centre and party and wedding venue. The range of events we have here is quite vast but we can tell you all about it when you arrive.

So here is the deal, regarding skilled work, if you have experience in any of the following:

- Carpentary
- Roofing
- Lead windows
- Plumbing
- Building
- Painting
- Gardening
- Cleaning
- Events/hospitality
- Cooking
- Marketing

Then you are especially welcome!

But regardless of who you are, there is plenty of work to be done.
The garden is in need of work at the moment, the spring is coming and its a goo... more inside

We are located near a small town the heart of the Pennine hills, in a stunning landscape. It rains a lot here, but there is a really friendly local culture and several interesting big cities within easy reach.

We use permaculture methods and many innovative teqniques to produce almost year round for direct sales to local houses, farm shop and and local eateries.
We also produce fruit trees, and have two young Jersey cows and poultry.
We are very hard working but have an informal atmosphere. We also host school parties and go out to teach growing in youth clubs and schools.... more inside

We are a traditional cider farm in Cornwall, uk. We grow all our apple apples and make cider and apple juice. We have a shop on the farm where we sell our cider and local cheeses. We also host live music events and orchard tours. I'm currently looking for help with the cider making, orchards and garden. We are looking for motivated helpers, who don't mind helping keeping the kitchen clean. I provide all food but leave most of the cooking of it to the helpers. It's a very social farm, the local cider club meet every Thursday evening for food and cider! We are a 20 minute drive to the North Cornwall cost. The village of St Mabyn is a 12 minute walk from the farm and has a shop and a good pub!
