Hi there. Exploring the Wild atlantic Way, or looking for a an Irish family cultural experience?

If you enjoy a family environment, and are fit and relatively experienced it would be great to have your help at Little House (mostly garden but some DIY/renovation if skilled) In exchange you get food and board and a welcome into our Irish family ways.
Note: we have 2 dogs, a cat and live in a quiet rural area. We are non smokers and enjoy a varied meat based healthy diet. We also drink alcohol.
While we do have wifi, it is restricted to the house and certain hours.
If you do not have any references on the Helpx site I will ask for work/character references. Check out what other Helpx have to say about us/Little House.

There is a bit of processing to do to save the food for the winter. Some help would be great.
There are also a few maintenance jobs due on outbuildings, repairs, painting. An extra pair of hands would be very welcome.
In return we offer a stay in a fine self contained Appartement, organic food and a look into West Cork country life.
Some garden/kitchen experience would be great, also interest in maintenance jobs are useful.
We have a lovely dog, three cats and a few chicken. They also need to be cared for occasionally.
We expect participation with the house duties like in any shared living situation.

CONDITIONS: ideal stay: 2-4 weeks

Languages: English/German/Latvian

ABOUT THE OPAL CENTRE:
OPAL consists of a house, Holistic Centre, outbuildings and garden area. It is in the heart of a rural part of Ireland, a small village called Donamon, which is approximately 15km outside of Roscommon Town. This makes it a great location for a peaceful and relaxed stay, whilst being fairly close to Roscommon town. It is a short drive from a number of great places to visit. There is no public transport from Donamon so you would need a car or bike to travel anywhere that is not in walking distance, although I am happy to give you a lift if I am going into town, etc.

Set in a rural environment it is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat or fishing, walking, etc. whilst providing us with some help. We are a short walk from the river Suck and Donamon Castle.

OPAL offers a tranquil setting where you can escape from the distractions of modern day life. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and quiet environment, suitable for relaxation and retreat. For... more inside

We do not need any more helpers until March 2018. Happy to take requests for next year
Helpers look after the hostel keeping it clean and tidy in exchange for accommodation and food. We are in an isolated location so people must be comfortable with staying on their own on occasions. A friendly personality and GOOD SPOKEN ENGLISH is essential There is some outdoor work to be done tidying the garden, trimming hedges and clearing leaves. Ballyeamon Barn is a small hostel in the Glens of Antrim, Northern Ireland, near Glenariff Forest Park, 8km from Cushendall, 18km from Ballymena The owner is a professional storyteller and we hold music and storytelling sessions at the barn. Owner speaks German, French and a little Spanish.

See picture of the barn and the owner below.

I have a breeding and competition yard in Kildare and am looking for all year round help with horses and garden. Must be animal lovers as I have horses, ponies, dogs and cats. You will be expected to help muck out stables, sweep, groom animals and tend to the garden. In return, you can ride horses (if suitable) and, as a HSI coach, I can give riding lessons. If competent, you may get a chance to compete. The day starts before 8 and goes until 6 in the evening with breaks inbetween. You will have your own room in my house and plenty of food. Unfortunately I dont have wifi but the local pub has free access to theirs.

We are small FREE RANGE PIG and CATTLE farmers just outside the village of Kilfenora, county Clare, in the West of Ireland. We sell our own free range pork meat directly from the farm. We also have a few hens and ducks, a couple of dogs, 2 donkeys and a cat. We have a good size poly tunnel where we grow a lot of organic vegetables and fruits. We are looking someone who would like to come and experience a bit of traditional farming in a lovely part of the country. We are part of an Ecotourism group in the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark and have some interesting projects in the pipeline, so we need people with different type of skills. We also offer 'Glamping' accommodation on the farm in a converted old horsetruck for accommodation and meals for paying guests. See www.burrenglamping.com
