Gerda & Eric Helpx,
We are back in the garden and are waiting for helpers to contact us. We have an acreage of land set amongst farmland (mostly grain farming) in Bannockburn which is approximately 90km from Melbourne. The closest city is Geelong, which is 20km away. Bannockburn can be reached by bus from Geelong. We are close to The Great Ocean road, Bells Beach & quaint coasters al villages.

A little bit about ourselves: we are a retired couple who have lived in Victoria for the past 10 years. We moved here from Queensland to be closer to our grandchildren. Our daughter & son in law are on the farm and we are close by to help out with the children. Eric has a sailboat (which you will no doubt will be going out on in Geelong Bay) he was a boat builder when we lived in France and now uses those skills to do DIY projects around the house. I (Gerda) enjoy spending my time in the garden, looking after my grandchildren & travelling around the world.

We recently enjoyed the compa... more inside

Want to see what life is like here on the land in The Yarra Valley, one hour from Melbourne?
We need help with fencing, gardening, tree plantation maintenance and small jobs around the house. Nothing too big or difficult. Jobs might include weeding garden beds, picking up sticks, cobweb removal, raking leaves and stacking firewood. Any carpentry, fencing, viticulture skills would be really helpful here.
Our farm is near Healesville in the Yarra Valley. Approximately 1 hour from Melbourne by car.
My sister and her husband live here with their sons and run the 600 acre farm.
The rest of the family share another house on the property. I live in Melbourne with my family and we get to the farm as often as possible, mostly at weekends.
We have a vineyard, Charolais and Angus beef cattle and sheep.
The farm has "Land for Wildlife" status and we have magnificent views of the valley and the farm is great for hiking.
If the weather is warm there is a huge dam good for swimming. The... more inside

Hi to all of you wonderful Helpx friends our names are Brian and Judy and we live on 10 acres on the outskirts of beautiful, historical Bendigo Victoria.
We have 2 dogs, a cat and 6 different breeds of heritage poultry,
I am trying to develop a nursery at home but sell my plants at some markets as well as home.
We also sell the chooks from home and at poultry auctions through the year.
We have had 30 different Wwoofers over 6 years and are still in contact with most of them through Facebook and often recall the wonderful nights around our table with the exchange of cultures, customs, humour and information. I personally have found this time to be the most precious memory of all, and although the help we receive is very valued the interaction with new friends is by far the stand out part of all stays.
We have unlimited wifi that you can log into, and really most days only require 4 hours help a day, at different times we have new lambs and chics hatching, beautiful australian pa... more inside

Moora Moora is an intentional community of about 30 households on top of Mount Toolebewong, 70km north-east of Melbourne.
Our helpers stay together in a community owned building we call 'The Lodge'. We are a great place to come and help at as there are always lots of people, other helpers or community members to have fun with. The work is varied as you work with different people each day. Jobs that you are likely to be asked to do included vegetable gardening, weeding, fencing, building, painting, rendering, wood splitting, wood staking, landscaping, building chicken runs, cleaning, perhaps child minding and more.
We have wifi in The Lodge but it is a little slow. The Lodge is also solar powered and power is limited sometimes, we cannot use hair dryers in The Lodge.
During your two days off we have many ways you can enjoy yourselves. We have a waterhole to swim in and a tennis court. We are also surrounded by forest which you can explore. There are beautiful views and much wildli... more inside

Our home is located in the picturesque Macedon Ranges one hour from Melbourne CBD. Our property is a piece of rural tranquility, is heavily treed and surrounded by native bushland. We are frequently visited by kangaroos and the occasional wombat, echidna and lots of birdlife.

We are situated 4 klms out of the village of Woodend which is serviced by a direct train to Melbourne and Bendigo. The local region boasts lots of local attractions including Hanging Rock, Mt. Macedon, bushwalking, cycling, wineries ...

We are a mature couple with one of us working from home and the other working part-time.

Our home is comfortable and tidy and we are sometimes working on improvements both inside and outside.

We would appreciate some help with outside property maintenance eg bush clearing, vegetable planting, weatherboard cleaning, painting. We'll match the jobs to your skills and our current program.

A biodiverse orchard, nursery & learning space which is still in its infancy.
Join us on the journey of orcharding, living simply and following the seasons.

We follow permaculture principles and deliver a wide range of educational events throughout the year to teach others about regenerative farming, food growing skills and community connection.

We are a family of five and both Jade and Charlie work 2-3 days each off the farm. The 3 kids are all at school.

We founded the local community food co op and are heavily involved in that as well as being very proactive in the local food movement in the region.

We have a retrofitted packing shed that is self contained for our visitors and helpx crew. We run a large vegetable garden and have chickens, geese, bees and dogs. Some of the projects we are about to begin work on are: set up of a hoop house, planting new trees, propagating our nursery plants, fencing, paddock seeding and small building projects, planting christmas tr... more inside
