Our property is a small olive grove located in Tasmania's beautiful Tamar Valley, about 30 minutes north of Launceston. We are a husband and wife team with two children who run a small, boutique grove producing extra virgin olive oil and other olive products. Our farm is located on a peaceful ridge above the Tamar River, with heaps of native wildlife, including Pademelons, Wallabies, Bettongs, Bandicoots, Quolls, Echidnas and Possums. We also have pet chooks and miniature goats.

We have a very comfortable room available, with its own shower and toilet (private - external to the main house), tv and wifi (NBN...very fast). Meals will be held with the family in the main house, so we're looking for someone who doesn't mind a nice chat over dinner.

We are looking for people who are interested in helping to pick olives from late May through July, and helping with pruning, picking olive leaves (for olive leaf tea) and other tasks throughout the remainder of the year.

Hiya, Tony Rowenna and Ula (our 8 year old daughter) welcome any Helpers! We live 20 minutes south of Hobart, where we have built our own solar passive home. We have a small orchard, vegie patch, goats, ducks and chooks. We are looking for 1 or 2 people to stay in excellent accommodation (clean, warm, self contained cottage with it's own bathroom and kitchen, Wifi) for up to 5 nights. We would really appreciate help with some small building projects and gardening (weeding, mulching). No previous experience is required!! :)
We are often able to pick up Helpers from Hobart or the airport, and are happy to help Non-English speakers to practise their English! It is ok if Helpers prefer to prepare their own meals and work less hours. No smokers please.

**We are able to take guests in the first 2 weeks of January only.**

We have a small farm, overlooking the beautiful Huon River, where we try to be as self-sufficient as possible. In our large garden we grow a variety of organic vegetables and fruits, which we also sell at the local market twice a month. We have sheep, chickens, cats, birds and dogs.

You would be sharing our home, queen size bedroom also single available.

We enjoy having a drink sometimes, as well as good food. We consider ourselves as relaxed, life-affirming people, who love sharing good stories and laughs with our helpers. Our second language is Dutch.

The work would consist of general farm and livestock duties as well as some house work. However, the work that needs to be done is not physically demanding and we are flexible when it comes to working-hours (weekends are usually busier).

You must be animal lovers ! We also have piano for your enjoyment. Please check our reviews.

We are currently looking for helpers .

Hi my name is Dayna, I live about 10 mins out of Cygnet on a large bush property, with a large covered veggie garden and 2 hot houses. I just moved into the house so at the moment I am setting up the gardens, clearing the land and generally cleaning up the property. Its a 3 bedroom house, with lovely views to the river and bush.
Im looking for someone to help around the garden and property doing gardening, clearing, chopping wood and removal of gorse.
Someone with experience in building, landscaping, gardening, water pumps, brush cutting etc would be great. You will have your own room, most meals are provided if not food available to cook your own and I expect about 7 hours of work a day and 3 days off. I am also very flexible and open to suggestion. Looking for people that would to stay for 1 to 3 weeks. I am only interested in taking in people that are physically fit, easy going and self motivated.

If you would like to come explore the cygnet area please send me an email, t... more inside

Brad, myself (laura) and Malu our beautiful daughter have been living for two years on our bush block here in Tassie. We have built a shack and shed from recyled materials and made some progress with orchards and veggie gardens. The land itself has a dam, a spring and an old quarry, a north facing aspect and beautiful surrounding views. The bush is 20 yo regrowth as the farm used to run cattle.

Our vision is an organic, sustainable farm/community to grow old on with our friends and family. We are into natural/alternative building and permaculture. One of our major aims is to reduce our waste!

We are looking for 1-2 people/couple (numbers are negotiable) to help with all aspects of farm life. Building, clearing veggie gardens, domestic stuff, road maintenance etc and occasional child minding if you're into it. We need people who are flexible, family friendly and fun!You also need to be happy with an outdoor lifestyle as it can get pretty muddy when it rains.

We both work cas... more inside
