My friend and I have a property in the beautiful Kuranda area of FNQ. The property is 1/4 acre mostly gardens and fruit trees. We have built a temporary structure fit with kitchen and bathroom. Your room is the old shed very cute and rustic, with a double bed.
Across the road from us is the Barron River and bush land, its gorgeous and only a 5 min walk to a swimming spot.
We need help with gardening, keeping the place clean and light building.
We offer a 2 hour a day work load in turn for free accommodation, normally we communally cook, but I can't say that could happen every night so we decided to work out meals together.

This is a Wildlife Property set in a forest looking out to sea and the famous Noosa Heads National Park. We are 3 mature gay men sharing our space with local wildlife, aviaries of birds, many fish ponds, a small dog and some chickens.
Apart from our interest in Orchids and Frangipani Trees we have an organic orchard and vegetable garden. Most of the property is forest.
We are surrounded by many walking trails and close to a lake suitable for fishing and kayaking. Our local vibrant village Cooroy is 7km away as is the train to Brisbane. We have various farmers markets close by as well as fabulous beaches.
Accommodation is either in the main house (own room looking out to sea and the swimming pool) or in a 'shed' which allows you total privacy.
Our home is a fusion of east and west plus indoors outdoors.
Help would mainly be outdoors in the garden or building an aviary or making improvements to the "shed"

***We would love to have some helpers starting in September, no availability until then.

We are a young newlywed couple who just moved out into a big house in the pioneer valley. It's a gorgeous rural property surrounded by cane fields and nestled in amongst the Eungella Range. There's plenty to see and do around here if you enjoy the outdoors. We love to get out as often as possible to visit Finch Hatton gorge and Eungella National Park, which are both just a hop skip and a jump away! The city of Mackay is only a 40 minute drive from here and there will be plenty of opportunities to get in.

I myself have been a helper all over Australia for the past 2 years (I'm a Canadian, eh), but since snagging me this wiley aussie have decided to "settle down" and start planting some roots of my own. We are both fairly well traveled and love the company of fellow travelers. Since I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to share homes with so many wonderful families througho... more inside

Hi,

I'm looking for people who can start ASAP.

****I can help with second year visa****

I take the male calves that the dairy farms don't want so I am looking for some people to help feed the calves in the morning and afternoon as well as cooking meals in the evening. It is only me and occasionally my grandson that live here so there aren't lots of people to feed!
I also have horses on the farm and occasionally would need help, so experience with horses would be helpful but not necessary (However being able to cook is).It is roughly 3 hours work for board and food, there is also a car available for you to use and there are some opportunities for some local part time work, spraying weeds or babysitting however not guaranteed.

The farm is roughly half way between Nanango and Kingaroy, nearby there is many wineries, both towns have a local pool and library. Kingaroy is the larger of the two towns; where there is Woolworths, fast food chains and other shops.

There is a... more inside

OUR HOME:

We live in a one-level two bedroom townhouse in Miami on the Southern side of the Gold Coast only several kilometres to the beach. We have a small backyard and frontyard where we are setting up a vege garden. We also have two Japanese quails as pets. We offer our second bedroom during the times that my husband is away working (12 days at a time but we can negotiate a shorter or longer stay). We are situated 20km from the small township of Blackall in central west Queensland. Blackall boasts the only remaining working Wool Scour left in Australia, is home of the Black Stump and where legendary shearer Jack Howe lived and worked. Alice Downs is now a large Santa Gertrudis Stud and commercial cattle operation and in May will be hosting a wedding in the homestead gardens. We need a hand or two right now to help out with some cattle work and to do some gardening and cleaning in preparation for the wedding... Self contained separate air-conditioned accommodation available. Thanks

We only recently joined HelpX after having a break from being WWOOF hosts for 12 years.
We breed and at present have 26 alpacas, 2 horses, 2 dogs and poultry. Work on our farm involves general garden and farm maintenance as well as animal husbandry in exchange for food and board. Shearing of the alpacas happens once a year usually late Oct early Nov. We grow organic vegetables and fruit for our own use. Accommodation will be in the main house.
The Summit is on the Granite Belt, 3 hours SouthWest of Brisbane and about 3 hours from the Gold Coast. As The Summit lies at 930 meters it is much cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The area is best known for large apple, grape and stone fruit orchards. We are close to Girraween National Park and are approximately 45 minutes from Tenterfield, NSW. A bus service with Crisp Coaches (based at Stanthorpe) is available daily from Roma Street Brisbane. Greyhound buses are an alternative.

Kumbartcho is a new property for us and we are looking for people to help us move the property forward. Shane and I have been part of the helpx and wwoofer schemes for many years with our other property which is an organic cattle farm set in central qld called Dukes Plain.

There is a variety of work that we need to accomplish, for example. Planting trees, creating a vegetable garden, demolishing derelict sheds, laying new water systems and fencing.

Kilkivan is 50km west of Gympie and Kumbartcho is very close to the mudlo national park.
