Bonjour! Hi! Salut!

We are a mixed family of North American / French and are updating a house and garden in the beautiful town of Osséja, France in the Pyrenees. We are easygoing, humourous, kind-hearted and like meeting new people.

We have a few business websites and need technical help with graphic design, writing blogs, improving content, social media, etc.

We also need to help to build a tiny home, an organic vegetable garden, install a rainwater water tank, make a chicken coop, paint the outside of the house, decorate a child's bedroom with a soccer theme, build a wine cellar in the basement and why not build a fort, sandbox or outdoors shower LOL etc.

We have a sporty child so soccer / rugby / basketball / ski / trampoline, etc enthusiasts are appreciated!

We are happy to host people as of Nov 2017 and onward.

We welcome kind-hearted, hard working and responsible guests that like a warm family environment. We value family, friendships, education, multicul... more inside

A little garden, a little home outside a little village in the beautiful Corbieres mountains. I live practicaly always outdoors. I share my food (vegetarian), my outdoor kitchen and my living space. I buy as little as possible, growing most of what I eat myself. I believe in home made life. Homemade mayo, bread, beer (if I had enough space to bottle it) and whatever else we have the ingredients for. Do not worry you'll eat plenty. You can even eat meat and cook it if you provide it.

My outdoor house is nestled in my garden that explodes with flowers and vegetables. I can't bring myself to kill a pretty flower. Your sleeping accomodation will be in a greenhouse tent in the middle of the garden separate from the kitchen and my trailer. There is internet and a hot shower that is accesible nextdoor from my land lord.

I am not a slave driver. I mostly need a third hand in my lovely garden and someone whith a driver's licence. I have a van but no driver's licence. I want to take off... more inside

We are a small organic olive farm, not yet in production. We practice permaculture and the olives are part of a 'forest garden' which also includes 200 cork oaks, carob & other trees & shrubs. We also have a vegetable garden, fruit trees, dogs, cats, a house pig, donkeys, bees and worms!. Living in a Mediterranean climate we practice several different methods of water recycling & have a biological swimming pool. Help is required with all aspects of a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle.
Meals are vegan, wine is served with the evening meal and we are non smoking. Current projects are general forestry & garden management plus various indoor projects for bad weather.
Normally up to 4 helpers are here at a time, living as part of a family style community. We ask a minimum commitment of 4 weeks, with longer stays very much preferred. People usually book a few weeks ahead, but we sometimes have last minutes vacancies.
Responsible helpers required Jan/Feb 2018 during holiday break :-... more inside

Organic over grown riverside small (3500m2) land and barn with basic services, fire wood, drinking water and food in place being cleared for pond excavation, and planted in herbs, medicinal plants, salads and crop planting. 3 volunteers and I are there from 2nd august for months. join us from then, I can pick up from local town bus stop, only 1.60 from Beziers gare Routier to SGDF, work would be 20 hours a week for food and accommodation, 3 hours each morning, not sunday clearing small bushes and stacking them ready for burning. some fun stuff like setting up shelters. I also hope we can swap skills and experiences and learn from each other. be ready that all your experiences in past might be called on if you are the most experienced in a field. though no skills are expected just a willing cooperative attitude. I have a car so will be driving volunteers to local sights and the big river the ORB is only 10 minutes drive away, we can go there every second day for all afternoon. Geraldine and Richard have owned and run a centre for health and healing on Mount Tamborine, Queensland Australia for nearly 20 years. We are in the process of building a similar centre in the Languedoc South of France where we need help with light building and gardening. Accommodation is indoors with showers and hot water.
Where possible we use sustainable and 'green' building techniques.
The use of random (uncut) stone and lime mortar has minimal
and even positive effects on the environment.
We ensure that the timber used is either sustainably grown or recycled.
Our aim is to create a space where groups can come to learn a range of creative, experiential and spiritual activities in a safe and peaceful environment.
We will welcome people of all nationalities, faiths and spiritual beliefs to share this facility.
Subjects which we hope to encourage will include; yoga, art, dance, astrology, meditation and healing.
We have now finished the building of an outdoor labyrinth (see... more inside

*****UPDATE 29/10/17 We are looking for someone to help us in November and December 2017. There are various things to do - gardening, painting and cutting wood. We also need to make a a window in a stone wall. Everyone welcome! ******

Me and Helen are an English couple in our 50s living in Le Moulin, a renovated 18th century watermill near Carcassonne in the south of France.
Over the past 10 years we have renovated the building, built three gites, a swimming pool, started a gite rental business and a small English language school catering mainly for local children.
We have about two acres of land which, bit by bit, we are transforming into a garden.
We have a lot of ideas about how to take the project forward so the building and garden work are ongoing.
However it is a lot of work so we need a bit of help!
We were thinking that a single person or couple could stay in one of our gites with food and utilities provided by us in exchange for about 25 hours work a week per pers... more inside
