Adventure, Kiwi-style!

We are 3 women, 3 dogs,24 ducks, a goat named Winifred, and several large gardens,in rural Waihi. We are at the very beginning of our project - building a lifestyle/farm which is as natural and self-sufficient as possible. We are off-grid, with some solar power. We have composting toilets. This is an opportunity to experience true kiwi Glamping!

We are:
-building and renovating 'tiny house' cabins
-building animal shelters
-creating and building gardens.

We are looking for helpers who are honest, trustworthy, clean, reliable and willing. Must definitely be kind, friendly, tolerant, nice people, and be very sensible around animals, especially dogs. You also must be team-players.

You must be able to follow instructions! Please follow this very simple instruction -
make sure you have a photograph on your profile....!!
Applications with no photograph will be ignored.

No party-people.

This is a workplace. We go to bed early and get up... more inside

We are Muriel and Evan, a retired couple. I was an ESL teacher for many many years and Evan has done a variety of jobs including local politician, builder and tiler.

Just 5 minutes by car from Kuaotunu Beach, our home was designed and built by my Evan. It is situated in acres of NZ native forest. Whitianga is a 15 minute drive away. It's a lovely little town with a great selection of beach and ocean activities on offer.

We are keen on helpers interested in working in the forest to make paths and clearings and also collect firewood. Other help includes gardening, house maintenance, dog-walking. We are particularly keen on help with painting our roof, if you have skill in this area.

We need help doing general gardening, landscaping. Some cleaning inside if it is raining. Possibly some firewood collection that will require heavy lifting & would suit a couple.
We have a large 5 bedroom home. You would have your own room with a queen bed. Own toilet and shower, or use the main bathroom. Rooms are inside the house, not in a outdoor flat. We have 3 children (6, 3 & 2yrs).
4 hours help in exchange for home-cooked food and board. Please let us know if you are vegetarian/vegan so we can prepare.
10 min drive from Hot Water Beach and live next to a craft brewery.
We're a genuine, happy family who need a bit of help around the place.

We are a family owned/operated Winery and Restaurant based on the beautiful Coromandel coast at Cooks Beach.

It's a seasonal operation based around the extremely busy summer period and obviously the various annual vineyard jobs like pruning and havesting. We ask for 4 hours work/day in return for food & high quality accomodation in the family home.

Tasks needing help with change throughout the year and include vineyard, gardening and restaurant help.

We currently do not have any requirement for helpers.

Kia ora, my name is Raukura - I am a maori medicine woman, growing and making my own brand of organic, indigenous plant medicines. My husband Neil and I, along with his mother Kathy (who lives in a small house next door) live here at the kaha ra retreat centre, along with our 2 dogs, 2 cats, 7 chickens and 3 cows and a (pet) pig. I also teach indigenous body work and native plant medicine.

We require the support of keen, motivated open hearted individual, who has good english speaking skills, not afraid of a bit of hard work to help with some farm type work and perhaps a bit of cooking, cleaning and gardening.

We offer good kai (food) vegetarian accommodation in a high vibe location and a bit of maori cultural awareness and indigeneous plant medicine awareness as exchange. Own bedroom with queen sized comfortable bed and wifi.

Looking forward to meeting conscious travellers who would like to have this type of exchange.

I live in the centre of Thames in a small two bedroom house with my dog, Lyra. Helpers usually sleep in the garden studio which is a great space and gives us both some privacy as well as some togetherness. You will help in the house and garden, walking the dog is great too and if you can cook the occasional meal even better.
