Family of 3
Right now we have a lot of garden work. Pruning, weeding, building a frame for berries, path making.

We are artists working from home and living from land.
We have a milking goat, chickens, fish and a dog.
You will work for 4 1/2 hours a day. We are flexible so you can do 8 hours then have the next day off to look around.
Accomodation is in outside room. Shower and toilet inside main house. Eat and live with our family. We also like our own space from around 9.30pm each night and ask that you would head off to your own room about then - Thanks.

We live next to the Motueka river which is great for swimming (summer)and trout fishing and walking. Abel Tasman and Kahurangi national parks close by. Motueka is a lovely small town.

Red works at home as a artist blacksmith using traditional methods of forging.

*looking for helpers now*

I have a small dairy farm milking 170 cows and also young stock. It is in a great location with plenty of great scenery and exciting things to do nearby. Looking for help around the house and maybe on farm if there is an interested in doing so. I've lived in Ireland and the USA for a number of years and travelled a lot throughout Europe and enjoyed being a part of local communities and cultures so am happy to be able to provide the same for others.

We live on a peninsula on the stunning Waimea Estuary with views over the water & mountains.

We are looking for help with a variety of projects on our property, including building, landscaping, painting, firewood, gardening & cooking. We are revegetating the land in native trees. We would prefer helpers with plenty of initiative as we both work during the week.

We look to having helpers to stay initially for a week with the option to extend if we all get along and there's still things to be done.

You would be staying with Andrew, Christine & Greta. We have a crazy cat, a spectacularly cute dog, chooks, sheep & cattle. We have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting people from other countries. Andrew speaks Spanish.

Mapua is 10 minutes drive, Richmond 10 minutes, Nelson 20 minutes & Abel Tasman Park 40 minutes. There is no bus service near the house however Andrew or Christine are driving to & from Nelson each week day.

Accomodation is in a bedroom with a queen bed i... more inside

Situated in the beautiful Motueka Valley we are busy finishing our home and permaculture orchard and garden and need your kind assistance. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic folk who are friendly and hard working. We are a husband and wife team with two young children.

Generally our helpers give us about 5 hours each day in a basic exchange for 3 meals and a comfortable bed. However many have given us so much more and are driven not just by the tasks (or hours) but also learning that comes with it --- a huge thanks!! We are certainly not experts, but have returned this generosity with a cultural and education exchange which might include gardening and permaculture, wood and metal working, painting, making bread, preserving food, making fermented drinks, eco house design principles and implementation, technology for energy production and efficient energy usage, electronics and arduino automation and control, learning how to play piano and violin ... and more!

We are 20 minutes dri... more inside

Kia ora,

Available for hosting now a wonderful warm house awaits you!
We enjoy a wonderful sunny location with gorgeous sea views just 7km from central Nelson, a very popular region for travellers with the Abel Tasman just over an hour away.
You can ride the bicycle trail into town which takes about 20 minutes or else a bus stop not far away or even better if you have your own transport. We designed and built our home, constructed from Adobe Blocks which is a sustainable method of building using local materials such as clay and straw, it keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coldest. Mostly there is just the two of us and our cat, we both work so weekend starts are our usually our preference for up to one week Helpxing or more if it suits. We ask 4 hours per day but are flexible for longer days and then take a day or two off to explore the region. We have a few projects on the go such as revamping our large garden which has an organic fruit orchard, wood... more inside

Beautiful hill country sheep and cattle farm, with views of the sea and mountains. Must enjoy working with animals, and have a great work ethic. You must love dogs and cats! We are fairly flexible and in return for 4-6 hours help per day, you get free self-contained accommodation with internet and food provided. We are also flexible for you to work a full day and then have a full day off to explore. While you will have your own space, we will spend a lot of time together on the farm and also eat together a few days a week.

You will be hard-working, practical, not afraid of getting your hands dirty and great with animals. Plenty of general farmwork experience, gardening, fire-wood splitting, house-work, painting and cooking etc.

Ideally, we prefer non-smoking guests who can commit to at least one week.

Widely traveled hosts, who enjoy meeting people from all over the World.
