Looking for someone who is keen to work with animals and not afraid to get their hands dirty!

My husband (31) and I (29) own a dairy farm running 250 cows on the west coast of the South Island. We are situated right on the bush line and get a gorgeous view of the southern alps. Spring time - when the calves arrive (August - October), is our busiest time of the year. We rear all of the calves and milk the cows once a day in the morning times. We've also recently become a family of 3, our daughter is 12 months old. We'd love to host someone that is either interested in the farming side of things, rearing calves, fencing, spraying weeds, feeding out (general farm tasks) OR minding our daughter, taking her for walks, bathing etc and doing a few jobs around the house, possibly some cooking if you like cooking! Im also a keen vege gardner - and since I've given birth its in some need of TLC.
It would be great if helpers could work at least 4hrs per day (for each night stayed) with... more inside

I am a semi retired gentleman in my late fifties, I live on the edge of town next to the Buller river and close to the ocean. I have a large house with a large garden, hothouse and orchard. I am into organics and permaculture.
you can fish the river and the ocean, white baiting in the season. The west coast beaches offer good surfing, and there is a surf school here in town.
I would like to host mature people, must have tidy habits, in return for light gardening. I have a twin single room available in return for a few hours gardening per day.
I am also doing light building work, manufacturing hen houses, outdoor furniture, and carving.
There is plenty to do and see in the area.Tramping and surfing, there is a surfing school here.

I am looking for people to help out in the garden over the winter months,as it is a bit neglected at the moment. Also splitting and stacking firewood. Would be keen to find someone with tree pruning experience.

I really love hosting HelpXers.
Jesters Nest is in development as a therapeutic retreat and making good progress thanks to helpers input.
Help is always needed in the garden areas, to weed, plant, mulch, tend the labyrinth and in the house..I love it if helpers can cook!!!.
Situated just south of the Oparara River in Karamea, the property is surrounded by farmland and is 5 minutes from the sea, close to the Fenian track. The Heaphy and Wangapeka Tracks begin/end closeby.
At present food and in-house accomodation offered in return for labour and contribution to this life-enhancing project. The property is smoke and drug-free.
Prefer more mature (25+) helpers with good life and practical skills who can cook. Couples are great.
Possibility for YOUNGER HELPERS if you can convince me you'll be good value!!

If this does not sound like it suits you.. I may be able to put you in touch with other people in the area.

Still need a person who is goo... more inside

Enjoy the natural beauty of the West Coast while you help us out in our 24 unit motel. Fox Glacier is a beautiful area, with mountains, temperate rain forest and our stunning Lake Matheson, as well as the glacier, which is just 5km from our friendly little town.
During the quiet winter months we need a few hours help each day with the housekeeping work. In return we'll supply you with accommodation and wifi.
The work usually starts in the morning at 9am, so by afternoon you are free to explore the area.
We prefer helpers who can stay for at least a week, but are happy to discuss this.
We are passionate about our country and love sharing it with travellers - we've roamed the country for 6 years in our motorhome so can suggest lots of lovely places for you to visit.

Hello!

I am in the middle stages of multiple sclerosis. I just need help taking care of the garden and keeping the house tidy in exchange for accommodation and food. You will have your own room (depending on how many other people will be here), running water, a hot shower, warm living room, and fresh veggies to cook with. My property is located in the beautiful Springs Junction with lots of tracks to walk through around, and it's very easy to hitch out if needed because it is close to the main highway.

I have a car but am unable to drive it now, so it would be good if you had a valid drivers license or some sort of car.I cannot pick you up from Springs Junction and it is a 15 km walk to get here, very isolated. So a car is vital to get here:-)

We run a beef cattle stud of about 400 Herefords 50km south of Fox Glacier. A lot of stock work is done on horseback.
The family also operate a coffee cart at the Bruce Bay beach just down the road.
Close to the sea, mountains, river and lakes. Good fishing and hunting at the back door. Help around the house and garden is always appreciated, as well as help with all other general farm tasks.
I would like to point out that this is farm producing livestock primarily for meat. We are also a largely carnivorous household.
We would prefer your first contact with us to be by e mail. You have seen our listing ,we would like to see yours.
Current tasks : Mustering weaning and weighing calves. Horse riding experience an advantage.
We always have fences to repair.
Also the routine stock shifting and general farm work.
And there is always the need to shoot another deer for fresh meat.
Having been caught short we are looking for a competent person for the next 3 weeks or so.
Can... more inside
