Welcome to our mixed farm and Vineyard. Approximately 1 hour (by car) north east of Melbourne we are located in a quiet peaceful valley on the edge of the beautiful Yarra Valley and close to the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.

Hi my name is Andrew and I will be your easy-going host here. I have been involved in organic agriculture, permaculture and viticulture for about 10 years and have travelled to different countries backpacking and have wwoofed many times around Australia. I am passionate about farming organically and living sustainably (sensibly) and try to live and work without impacting on the planet as best I can. I love to cook and can cook dishes from most cultures, but always learning more. I like to preserve excess fruit and vegetables throughout the year also, focussing on more traditional and simple techniques and recipes.

Accommodation here is shared in a large old, well-presented and tidy farmhouse. There are two rooms available, one to share (sleeps 2) and a qu... more inside

Do you want to visit Wilson's Promontory National Park? - this farm is perfect place to stay! We need someone one to come to our olive farm in South Gippsland for a minimum of one week starting now or when you can come. The work will be mainly helping us prune olive trees so there will be plenty of fresh air to breath. There may also be mowing grass, wood cutting, gardening and other farm jobs. If the day is hot we stop work early and go to the beach. We serve you lunch and dinner with us (we also provide food for breakfast and snacks) and there is very nice accommodation in a comfortable two bedroom cottage. There is a small cash reward for good work. We are close to the beach and Wilson's Promontory National Park and can lend you a car on days when you are not working (or take you there if you don't drive). We are 2.5 hours by bus from Melbourne. We welcome visitors from anywhere and like to help you to learn English if necessary!

We live in a beautiful area east of Melbourne close to national parks with excellent bush walking tracts. We have a friendly cat and Rhode Island red hens, Isobrowns hens and a magnificent roster.
Public transport is available from Melbourne on the Lilydale line. We live directly opposite the bus stop.

We have a large garden with a number of medicinal weeds/herbs some of which I made into creams and medicines, as I am a Herbalist. At the moment we need help in the garden, pruning, weeding, mulching, house cleaning as well as carpentry skills and painting skills. We are looking for help from 24/11/17. We love cooking however some exchange with cultural foods would be appreciated.

Jenny and Quentin Young are hosts providing charming self-contained accommodation, and light farm work in the hundred year old organic apple orchard. Idealyllic valley setting.
