Beautiful views and a lovely rural setting close to an alternative town with plenty going on (Hebden Bridge) nestled between Manchester and Leeds in the South Pennines. We are also on a bus route and near a train station.

We would love people to help us with our newly acquired smallholding. We are a couple with a dog, cows and chickens. You would be staying with us as part of the family.

We have meadows with a stream running through. Our plan is to develop the meadows for wild flowers, generate woodland along the stream and create a pond area to increase biodiversity. We also have a small veg plot and orchard.

We are not registered organic but have an organic sensibility. We do things by hand and don't use weed-killer, fertiliser etc. We have a scythe and can teach you to scythe.

We need help with whatever we are doing. If the weather is fine we'll be outside, removing problem plants, generally weeding, planting, painting, building dry stone walls, making paths, mo... more inside

To help to renovate a big country house in its own splendid large gardens in a beautiful and peaceful location, but near to shops and facilities.

The house is a wonderful old building, full of character and history, but with a backlog of repairs and maintenance. There is certainly plenty to do here!

Yet we are only 35km from Manchester and direct trains and buses leave to the city from close by.

Just above the house is the boundary to the Peak Park with magnificent walking trails and panoramic views. Next to a nearby Iron Age fort, there are rock crags, ideal for climbing, with views of perhaps 60-80km on a clear day.

Examples of help needed would include cleaning and painting inside and tidying up outside and some garden maintenance. We also need some help inside, with our young children, and basic domestic duties.

Skills can be learnt if you wish to and we are happy to help you to improve or learn English.

There is unlimited Internet in the house.

This is a homestay in Hampshire, surrounded by open countryside and with a large garden.

My name's Anthony; born in the UK in the 1950s I moved from London to Hampshire in October 2014.

***I have a few days available until the end of November 2017, so please contact me if you're looking for a short stay, perhaps to fill in a gap between your other plans.*** If you are looking for a longer stay in 2018 feel free to let me know.

There is a variety of work to do here. When the weather is good enough we will be looking after the garden; clearing the weeds, tending the vegetable patch, chopping wood, cutting the grass, raking up the leaves, planting shrubs and trimming hedges. Inside the house there will be general cleaning and helping to prepare meals. Usually we would work as a team but it helps if you can self-motivate and work alone sometimes.

You have your own room and all meals provided, in return for just a few hours of work on five days a week; plenty of free time ea... more inside

Hi, Welcome to Tregoss Barton and Outlandish Holidays !

We live in a large Cornish stone house. (I converted it from a barn in 2001/3) Set in about an acre of gardens, on the Lizard peninsular, almost as far south west as you can travel on the UK mainland.
Overlooking the sea, "Falmouth Bay", and just a short walk to the beach. It's really very beautiful.
The area in which we live has been farmed for many hundreds of years.

The main word at tregoss barton : Community.
We live together, work together, and you may have to share a room. Its more than a team, its a family.
You will meet people from all over the world, discover traditions, learn work skills and practice community life.
When you leave Tregoss Barton, you leave with memories for life, friends by your side and sometimes, love in your heart !
My experience at Jonathan 's place was one of the best experiences of my life. I spent 5 weeks in that amazing place with amazing people, I made friends which I hope... more inside

We are based in a Grade II* Romantic Gothic mansion located just south of the English Lake District. It is situated in 70 acres of woodland and gardens on the shores of Morecambe Bay. It provides a quiet and reflective environment for a meaningful break.

The help required is varied and might include cooking, helping in the garden, household, doing office tasks, decorating etc. We also have various building projects at present that you could get involved in. We are always interested to hear about any specific skills you may be able to offer. Although the work is not always strenuous you will need to be reasonably fit and active to come on a volunteering visit.

In the Kadampa Art Studio there is scope to volunteer in the Finishing Team, assisting with sanding and filling etc. of Statues and Temple Adornments bound for destinations around the world. Short and longterm voluntary visits are available.

Hello, we are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where we keep bees, chickens and pigs (pigs only during June-November) and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden.

Weve travelled a lot ourselves, so its great to welcome people from around the world into our own home. We get the benefit of all the help with the animals, the garden and our various projects enjoy the company of so many interesting people. Our volunteers seem to be happy too, have a look at our reviews to see if this is a homestay you would enjoy.

Weve been hosting HelpXrs for several years, as well as volunteers from other similar sites. We are full now for the rest of the year but maybe we'll see you in 2018. Here is a snapshot of our 2017 HelpX year.

Anthony started the HelpX year for us. Its the time when were beginning to get the garden ready for the coming year, so he was helping outside and then, when the weather turned bad we made use... more inside

Hello Helpers

We are looking for a Helpx from 27 November. onwards - though we can be flexible with an earlier arrival date

We need a helper who can do a variety of jobs around the Buddhist Centre mostly working in our cafe (want to learn barista skills?) but there may be other jobs such as cooking, cleaning and DIY. We need someone who has a reasonable level of English because of contact with customers in the caf

We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks and prefer helpers who can stay longer

We are a Buddhist Centre run by a dedicated team of volunteers who aim to create an oasis of peace which is accessible for all members of the community. We offer a range of meditation classes and courses which are designed to help people to find inner peace and contentment and solve their human problems and to learn more about Buddhism. On the ground floor of our building, we run a Community Cafe which serves vegetarian food including home made cakes and soups and offers a place where peop... more inside
