Some time out....
Lady Horticulturist(BSc Degree CIT)/also qualified Healthcare Assistant, Dog lover, can offer homestays in comfortable cottage to other Women only. Overlooking a beautiful valley, the small cottage is set on a southfacing acre in beautiful rural, peaceful countryside with rolling hills. It is ideal for taking some time out, walking along quiet country lanes edged by red fuchsias, orange Crocosmias and wild flowers. Two lakes are nearby, stunning long beaches about a 25 minutes drive away. There is a new, small vegetable garden that needs to be planted, about 6 metres by 4 metres. A larger, previously established vegetable garden next to the small one is in need of some Tlc, as i had been abroad for the past two years. It needs covering to get it weed free for next year. Some plants in pots need tidying and planting out, too. I am hoping to get some hens and a goat for grazing the field and boundaries in the coming weeks, so a shed might need to be prepared painted... more inside

Helpers needed for May, June, July and August***

We are a hostel and guesthouse in Waterford city in the sunny south-east of Ireland and we are looking for volunteers for the next 4 months.
Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland (1100 years old) - it's an hour and three quarters from both Cork and Dublin and well served by rail and buses. The city itself has lots of festivals and plenty to see and do. Nearby there are some of Ireland's nicest beaches and surf spots at Tramore and Dunmore East.

The property is currently in operation, as a hostel and guesthouse - we need help with all aspects of the property - cleaning, changing beds, laundry, reception etc. etc. etc. and very importantly, talking and socialising with the guests. Sometimes we also need help with basic maintenance (painting & decorating etc.) particularly in the winter. Other than that a big part of the placement is to look after the guests and be socia... more inside
