Thanks for checking out our profile. At the moment we are looking for people who can help preparing place for the winter.
We are also working on rebuilding an old warehouse (mainly from recycled materials) into a modern place for people to live and work. We are very much influenced by work of Michael Reynolds and his earthships. We are setting up our walls with car tires and beer cans. We would like to create a self-sufficient place by re-using the waste of modern consumer society, in the beautiful scenery of the Jizera Mountains.
Furthermore, volunteers work hand in hand with the locals, in order to make the foundation possible. We have hosted over 50 ; volunteers from Holland, England, Israel, Australia, Japan, Romania, Czech Republic, Germany, France, and USA . They helped with locale renovations. As much as 80% of building material utilized was of recycled origin. Today this space functions as a workshop, concert venue, and lively meeting place.
A variety of artistic activity... more inside

Our farm is located near Opolskie, in the Valley of Mala Panwia, where the Odra river feeds into Turawskie Lake (21km from Opole).

We have 11 ha of land which consist of grasslands (7 ha), cereal crops, vegetable crops, and two orchards. On the property we also have our personal home, a guest house for vacationers, and century old farm buildings that we are continuously renovating. The farm was handed down to us a few years ago and since then we have been working toward converting the land as well as reconstructing the original buildings.

Helpers are invited to sleep in a private guest room for the length of their stay but will live closely with the family working, eating, and interacting with everyone on a daily basis. We expect for our Helpers to feel as though they are a part of our family by doing anything from planning projects for the farm, to sitting down for coffee and cakes mid-day.

Within our house we are cultivating a traditional Silesian family structure where t... more inside

Asia and I, Pim, run a small hostel together in the city center and we could show and teach you how to run a hostel in a superb way. We have worked together with volunteers before and we can promise a socially active homelike atmosphere. We love to cook, when we have time, and love to play some board games with a bit of music and like to have a chat, f.e. about our travels, with a beer a side.

Update September 2017: We are currently cladding our volunteer accommodation with straw bale insulation which we will plaster with clay and then lime. Any volunteers for this?

Hi. We're Henry, Kasia and Maia. We took the plunge and moved in Spring 2015 to a small farm in rural NE Poland. It's a lovely sheltered spot surrounded by woods and away from the road. It was all run down but we've made a LOT of progress already. We love having volunteers and we will make lots of effort to accommodate you as long as you are willing and able to fit in to our busy working environment. We do work hard and long hours, but we don't expect more from volunteers than is in the norm (max 4-5hrs).

When we first arrived we were living in a tent and getting water from the well in a bucket. We've since renovated the old garage into a communal kitchen/living/dining space. We built a yurt, and then a small straw bale cottage for my 77 year old mother who peacefully passed away after two years of livi... more inside

The farm is in the beautiful Kashubian countryside of northern Poland, about 100 km from Gdansk. It is surrounded by pine and birch forests with miles of sandy tracks for walking, cycling or horse riding. I grow most of my own vegetables and a small surplus for sale and sharing with friends. I also grow herbs and dye plants. There are 3 horses, 2 sheep, 7 chickens and a cat. I earn some of my income from teaching English. In my spare time I am involved in organising local theatre festivals and working with a youth theatre group. I also weave and sell hand-woven scarves and shawls. I am trying to become as self-reliant and low impact as possible. I need help from April to October with on going work around the farm, forest and gardens and with the horses, as well as with various small building projects and general maintenance of fences and wooden buildings. In the coming year (2017) my neighbour and I are planning to mark out two nature trails around the farm and some work will need t... more inside

Hello everyone.
We need some help in August. Couples preferred ;) We can offer an independent job, as well as an independent simple little house to stay.
17 - 20 August you may join strawbale-and-clay workshops, more info on our website (in polish ;)).

I am sure you would find our ranch quite exotic! We have living creatures here, forests, old orchards, meadows and fields. If tractor - thirty years old Russian made machine called Lenin.
No sealed roads. You can wander all day and not meet a single man if you don't want to.
You can have a lot of hard "real man's" jobs here. Mending fences for the horses (first you have to get material from the woods). Making clay walls for the new forest house. Help feeding horses and goats, dogs and cats. Help with the field jobs (depending on the season). Chopping wood for winter. Cooking. And much more. I promise you be tired and satisfied every evening, sitting by the fire.
Please see our website.

We provide English language immersion programs for Polish professionals as well as young people preparing for their Matura Exam.
Your role there is to be part of a group of English speaking volunteers helping our Polish participants to speak English. Every day will be full of activities, such as one-to-one conversations, group debates or presentations and social time in the evening.

This is an invaluable cultural exchange where every individual will gain new knowledge and make international friends.

Join us for an amazing trip!

To be considered, you must be a native English speaker.

You do not need to have any prior teaching experience!

The accommodation takes place in hotels near Poznan or Warsaw, (depends on dates). You will have a single room, but you might share a room with a native speaker of the same gender for our youth programs.

On the day before our programs begin, there is an afternoon meetup in Poznan or Warsaw, that includes free lunch and drinks.

We are a family of 4 (two kids 9 and 7) and we are looking for an English-speaking volunteer to help us with looking after the kids and help with everyday activities. We are a friendly, easygoing family who loves travelling, hiking, riding bikes and gardening (we grow our own veggies).
We also would like to practice English and use it in the house. We are open to learing new languages like German or Spanish and new cultures.
Help would mean occassional picking children from school during the school year (it's 10 min walk, although our son is 4 grade now and he comes back on his own - but our daughter just starts her primary school). My husband is a firefighter and when he's on duty he's away for 24h and I run my own business (it's a small language school so you can also help there) so just being there with the kids, organising time for them (they love walking, riding bikes, playing guitar and piano, doing all sorts of arts) and driving them to classes (Maya starts attending music... more inside

Greetings, travellers!

We are fresh, international community (4 people; polish, german, english) settled in tiny and cosy wood surrounded by wide fields of cereals, in the middle of nowhere. Our way of living is to live close to nature, reduce our eco footprint, low energy consumption and as less intervention in environment as needed. We want to show alternative, sustainable lifestyle based on permaculture, natural farming and ecobuilding.

Our main project is to reconstruct old farmhouse, of which history has began 200 years ago, and plant fantastic food forest around it. To do so, we expose and repair stones groundwork and build using clay, wood and straw. Beside of this there is many things going on around; working in the garden, harvesting herbs, fruits and veggies, preparing daily meals and food for the winter, building sauna, general maintenance and simply making this place more beautiful.

We live simply, without luxury, and you can expect the same; we all sleep outdoo... more inside
