Agriculture has been practiced here since the foundation of this Kibbutz community located in the north of Israel. The essence of our work is to care and heal the land, and to grow healthier, nutritional and vital organic food for the community.
We grow variety of seasonal vegetables, some fruits and olives.
We use compost from the Kibbutz dairy farm which is the natural fertilizer for our soil.

Our farm founded in 2007, and was founded as a join initiative with the community and "Hiram" (a rehabilitation center for people going through or following a mental crisis) About 20-30 strong of “Hiram” members work with us on a daily basis.
Our farm is more then just an Organic Biodynamic farm. It is a therapeutic - educational - social project which involves a regular work and study of people from “Hiram”, children from “Beit Tuvia” and school students from the local Harduf Waldorf school at different ages and classes.
We also host children who come from schools around Israel fo... more inside

Over the last decade we built mud cabins and other useful structures and outside sculptures, using all kinds of mud building techniques.
these days we are runing an ecological hostel, with an attitude of respecting nature, simple and humble as it is. We live close to nature, feel the sun and the wind, the stars and the moon. The resort has an uninterrupted view of the Arava desert landscape, hiking around is very beautiful and special. we go hiking together somewhere in the southern district here and there.
we need mainly help with hopitality works, such as cleaning and cooking for our gusts, and usually we also have the time to do some mud work around the place - building, sculpturing, or reconstructing.
The accomodation is wooden and rugs huts, and its like a little community, with the permanent staff and volunteers from all over the world, working and living together, preparing food, watching movies, hiking and just hanging around, exchanging different languages and recipes.... more inside

Har HaRuach Farm is an amazing farm just 15 minutes from Jerusalem, located in the middle of the Hamisha Forest. Our farm hosts a herd of goats, chickens, shepherding dogs, and a large garden. We make all natural, cold process soap and dolce de leche with the goat's milk.

We strike to provide the most natural environment for our animals. As for the goats, we do the milking by hand every day at regular hours and they eat outdoors during the long grazing hours. The chickens are entirely free-range; with an open coop they come and go as they please.

Help is needed with milking, herding, working the garden, and other day to day farm tasks. Each volunteer receives their own private wood cabin room. Communal kitchen, wc, and shower.

We require a minimum of a one month commitment with preference for longer stays. Please send us a message for more details if you are interested!

Hi, my name is Mohammad and I run my own permaculture design and edible landscaping/gardening projects as a consultant and freelancer. I am living in Bethlehem, where I live with my wife, Shereen, and two kids.

My experience in permaculture design and edible landscaping/gardening began as a WWOOFer and a volunteer where, for many many years, I managed an off the grid farm, and led large teams of up to 15 internationals to implement meaningful ecological projects.

I ALWAYS have ongoing or upcoming projects so please contact me to inquire about what project I am currently doing, and how you can get involved!

HERE ARE WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

(1) Office Work:

CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER

Regenerative agriculture is about discovering how to grow food as a part of the natural cycles of nature, and restoring them in the process. This means that I am simultaneously trying to regenerate the local natural forest while growing fruit and vegetables in the same location.

It is an odyssey of discovery in all of ecology, farming and human nature, and involves re-inventing almost every aspect and area of life.

The farm has no buildings, no electricity, no toilets, no waste disposal. I live a moneyless, transportless lifestyle. All food is either grown, gathered or gleaned. Diet is 90%+ organic (sometimes I glean from non-organic neighbors). I usually do not cook, just eat everything raw as is. You can cook in the sun or on a wood fire if you wish, pots are available.

You are invited to come and be part of this fascinating journey.

The approach here goes beyond commonly practiced farming techniques such ... more inside
