We have a avocado orchard in the beautiful town of Katikati in the Western Bay of Plenty 30 minutes from the city of Tauranga.
As well as avocados we have a large vegetable garden and grow most of our own food. Also we have a range of fruit trees including apples, plums, oranges, lemons, feijoas, figs and passionfruit.
Our house is big and roomy with 3 bathrooms and 4 guest bedrooms.
Katikati is 10 minutes drive to Waihi Beach and also is near beautiful bush walks and swimming holes.
We are a Christian couple with none of our 9 children living at home. Several of our children live close by with their own families, so we often see them and our grandchildren.
We work 4 hours a day (5 or 6 days a week)in exchange for room and food. All meals are homemade generally with fresh produce from our garden. Work includes tidying and cleaning up outside, weeding, pruning, planting, harvesting etc. We share some of the work inside as well such as dishes and housework. Our home is your... more inside

We are a family of 3 that love our wee life by the sea. We moved back to Papamoa Beach 3 months ago from Inland New Zealand as we were missing the sea. Its a wonderful place for our daughter to grow up in and for people to visit us.

We consist of my husband Paul (52), myself Natasha (45) and our daughter 5yrs old and at school. We are in the process of getting her a kitten, so this will be the next addition to our family.

We love spending time at the beach, at parks and generally just enjoying life as a family.

We live in a 3 bedroom house, one of which is spare and the bathroom you would share with our daughter. We have Wifi ultra-fast broadband and are happy to provide meals.

We are new to HelpXhelper and would prefer someone that has a few references is able to converse in English and would be happy to stay about a week. We would prefer a single female that is a Non-smoker, as myself and our daughter have Asthma and no drugs.
Someone that is trustworthy and wil... more inside

Hello

Iím building a houseboat/floating house (see indicative pic below) to go on Lake Rotoiti and need some help. We live out at Okere Falls on Lake Rotoiti Ė Thereís me, my wife, 2 kids a greyhound, a cat and a rabbit. Weíre vegetarian but donít mind if you are not (we just wonít cook it for you).

Okere Falls is 15mins out of Rotorua but we go into Rotorua most days. Just down the road is the famous Okere Falls store and beer garden so you are not stranded in the middle of know where. Nearby is the world famous Kaituna River (if you are into white water kayaking), there is the lake across the road of course, there are the Manipirau Hot Pools (across the lake) and in town are the also world famous Whakarewarewa mtb trials if you are into that (I am).

Basically I need help with building a houseboat/floating house Ė i.e. a bit of building, a bit of lifting, some painting etc etc. You donít need to be a builder or have had building experience, just a bit of strength and comm... more inside

This is a lifestyle home set in extensive lawn, garden and bush. It is nestled in the Ngongotaha Valley, 10 minutes north of Rotorua, and easily accessible via a local bus.

We are looking for help with our section and gardens during August 28-September 22 and selected dates in October and November. We prefer couples over 22 years of age, but are open to other offers.

This is a brilliant location from which to enjoy what Rotorua has to offer. For instance, we are very close to Canopy Tours, Wingspan, Paradise Valley, and the various attractions on Fairy Springs Road.

our home that recycles everything, organic garden composting and minimization in our future renovations.
WE HAVE A SPACE FOR SOMEONE WITH handy and gardening cooking skills from 15th Dec :)
I'm a single mum with a 15 yr old and a mischief cat Sasha and a flat mate for 4 nights during the week days.
But i do need help with things around the house. We want to become more sustainable, create a new outdoor space and we offer a warm fun relaxed time here.
I would be away with work at times and would expect about 20 hours of stuff a week.....in a time frame that suited the helpers.
We need people that are independent, reliable, good with painting and handy tasks.
I love to create and am welcome to new ideas from travelers and open minded people.
I travelled through Europe and Africa in the 90's.

I live in a lovely house on the outskirts of Rotorua with rural views but still very close to town. I have a reasonably large garden and a swimming pool that need a bit of attention. I I am a busy part time professional with a three year old daughter who keeps me more than busy. I am looking for (ideally but not exclusively) a couple of people at a time who don't mind getting their hands dirty in the garden and help with weeding, spraying, shrub trimming, cleaning around the pool and splitting fire wood (if able). This would be in exchange for food and accommodation.I can only host people for a short term (max 3 days at a time) Rotorua offers a great variety of cultural and outdoor experiences that is worth exploring.
