Looking forward to welcoming 1 or 2 energetic helpers in a beautifully quiet country location.

We need assistance with the
day to day running of our 20 hectare farm and our 2 holiday chalets.

Think you can help? We have a garden bunk house perfect for back-packers/travellers.
Check out our business web site www.carinyafarm.com
We just might need assistance with
caring for our 2 accommodation chalets,
home duties and cooking in the kitchen,
flower and veggie garden,
tree trimming pruning and wood chopping,
caring for and feeding animals,
farm and building maintenance.
You could be asked to wash up to fencing – and any thing in between.

Come and exchange life experiences with us.

Peacefully set in the green rolling hills of Tasmania’s north-west coast. View of Mt Roland and not far from Cradle Mt. 7 km from nearest town Sheffield.

We are a family of 4; Yves, Georgie and our 2 daughters (8yrs and 6yrs old).
We live just 25 minutes south of Hobart, surrounded by bush and wildlife. It's very peaceful! We have chooks and live with the native wildlif; beautiful birds, wallabies and echidnas etc.
We are really lucky to have many small bush walking tracks around the area from the house.

Yves is a fulltime organic/biodynamic beekeeper of native Tasmanian wildflowers and Georgie is a Waldorf teacher. We speak French/English in the home, and really value French being spoken with our children.
We enjoy a tv-free home (except for the odd movie),no smoking, and try to keep media to a minimum. We enjoy cooking, gardening, playing guitar/piano, crafting etc. We are happy to host someone who is interested in Tasmania, happy with children and helping around the house (gardening and cooking etc).
We've had many travellers stay with us over the last 10 years, and we really enjoy hearing their stories and sharing our ho... more inside

We have a large organic vegetable garden that we try to grow most of our vegetables in (although at different times of the year there is little to pick) and a large house block with many flowers and fruit trees. From our deck there is a wonderful view of Mt. Wellington. It's a great place for a cup of tea or glass of wine!

We are a couple in our 60's who both work mostly from home (a potter/pottery teacher and a furniture restorer/environmental consultant). Helpers may get to help at Salamanca Market with Jude's pottery stall and in the pottery studio. You might get to make something for yourself as well as learning some pottery techniques.

Mostly we ask helpers to weed the garden, or do other gardening chores. We find the garden a never ending job! We prefer helpers who don't mind getting their hands dirty.

Thanks to many wonderful helpers who have stayed with us we have created brick paths in the garden. There is a Chinese section in the vegetable garden, and several... more inside
