I live in a converted chapel, and will be extending it by adding an extra floor. The helpers will be assisting me in finishing the conversion,ie extending by adding a floor and various jobs to the existing conversion. It would be useful if they have basic building skills, but these can be taught. What is more essential is a willingness to learn the various skills necessary, and a willingness to try anything. The accommodation is individual bedrooms with bathroom, and there can be communal meals, or helpers can prepare their own meals.

The chapel is in an hill village called Bryn 12 miles from the seaside city of Swansea, with shops and night lift, and the beautiful Gower peninsula with its beaches, including water sport facilities (especially surfing). Swansea is also a springboard to Ireland. Near Bryn, there is a country park with a world class mountain bike route (bicycles available to borrow). It is on a bus route to Swansea, although there will be plenty of opportunities... more inside

I am an artist/blacksmith and my partner is a micro-hydro-electric engineer. (I also have a pottery studio which you are welcome to use). We live in a beautiful thatched village near the sea. Current projects for which help would be appreciated include fixing up the railway carriage which has been used as accomodation for friends and helpers but which recently suffered a close shave with a fallen tree and is otherwise in need of some major tarting. Also we are hoping to do some renovations to the Mill building. We are therefore looking for someone who has a bit of experience with joinery. Accomodation was in the railway carriage but due to woks would now be in a very roomy spare room. If you would like to head out to beautiful W Wales for a couple of days i have camping gear to lend.
I look forward to hearing from you, whoever you may be.

we really need help in our garden which is getting neglected because we are working from home running a busy office. So anyone who comes would have to be able to work independently in the garden - either flower garden doing weeding, digging, or in the vegetable garden doing the same. Also theres a plastic tunnel. Theres mowing in the summer, and work on lake maintainance.

We are a family (2 boys aged 11 & 15), who got bored with life in London so recently moved to a 5 acre small holding near Caernarfon. We have pigs chickens and guinea fowl. We are trying to build up the small holding to be as self-sufficient as possible, and live in the most sustainable way we can, while enjoying having space and the great outdoors. We had no experience of farming before we moved, so are rapidly learning skills from locals, books and even youtube !

We really need some help, starting as soon as possible, with both the day to day running of the small holding and to get some of our projects started, including building a compost loo, setting up a water system fed from our stream, clearing some space in the woods for camping, building a wood fired oven and developing the vegetable garden.

We offer a funky converted bus for you to stay in, 3 meals a day from as much home-grown produce as possible, and of course access to the wonderful activities in Snowdonia. We wou... more inside

CURRENTLY DONT NEED VOLUNTEERS, BUT LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU IN THE FUTURE! THANKS.

We live in the countryside in Wales and run a 50 acre organic farm, we deliver produce locally. We are interested in people who are practical, reliable and creative and who will be able to share in all aspects of the farm - tending plants, animals and general maintenance and building work.

We have 2 children who are 11 & 13 yrs old. They are lively, inquisitive and chatty young people, who are used to helping out round the farm, and are great company! We run the farm together, Ian works fulltime growing organic vegetables and I also work as a homeopath in the nearby town so we have a lot going on every day!

We are looking for people who would be interested in helping us continue to develop our thriving business, and who are quick thinking, and playful, particularly when it comes to spending time with the children! We live very near to the sea and some beautiful beaches, and close to... more inside
