** We can sign off 2nd WHV**
-Please read the entire profile to ensure you match what we need. We prefer travelers, non smokers who are dynamic, pro-active with solid English skills who ADORE kids! :)). We are currently only looking for two people to help out in the garden for three months from the 28th of April 2014.

We live on a large macadamia farm in Eureka, a beautiful part of the Northern NSW. Eureka lies between Lismore and Byron Bay and is described as a rural area. We are surrounded by lush green grazing lands as well as macadamia and coffee plantations. It takes us 20 minutes to drive to Byron Bay and we are 1hr from the Gold Coast and
2hrs from Brisbane. In the past, our helpers have spent the weekend at a Backpacker's Hostel in Byron Bay, the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

There are several dwellings on our property and my Mum lives in one of these. We have 1 golden retriever, 2 cats and many chickens so fresh eggs are abundant.

Your room will be in the downstairs ... more inside

We breed and fatten Angus cattle on a family farm at Ben Lomond (near Armidale) in the New England area of NSW. This is a highly productive rural area, with mountains up to 1400m, gorges and waterfalls, and a varied climate. We also renovate rental properties in Armidale.

We are looking for some general help around the farm and properties. Current tasks are focused on repairing fences and tidying up paddocks using the tractor, painting, decorating and gardening. Ideally we would like to host a couple, or friends who are keen to assist with tasks such as fencing, painting and/or gardening, and who would like to experience rural Australia.

We have horses and dogs and enjoy a range of sporting activities from cycling to horse sports to watersports and bush walking.

Accomodation is in the farmhouse with our family - Mum, Dad and two boys 11 and 13, or could be in one of the rental properties from time to time.

In return for 4 days a week assistance, we would provide 3... more inside

This is a rural land-sharing Cooperative and Wildlife Sanctuary that has a membership of 180. Our guiding principles are Social Harmony, Environmental Responsibility and Economic Independence.

The land here is comprised of 313 hectares mostly forested, with Bongil-Bongil National Park and the ocean forming our boundaries. Nearly half of the land is under a Conservation Agreement. Bundagen is independent of mains water, sewage and electricity. Instead, we use alternative energies, such as solar power, rainwater tanks and composting toilets.

Work is needed for different things, such as weeding, planting trees, building, maintenance and renovation, helping with young children, house cleaning, etc.

We are a family of 4 (Mum, Dad and 5 & 6 year old sons) running 3 businesses from our farm of 270 acres on the Snowy River, in the NSW Snowy Mountains region. Our primary business is running holiday cabins in a farm-style environment with a small saddlery and a maintenance business also being operated from the location.

On the property we have dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, alpacas and cows as well as wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, platypus, koalas and an array or birdlife.

This is a wilderness cattle and timber property. A hut is being built by the river with timber milled on the land. There is 4 miles of river frontage with pools and rapids gorged out of colourful Serpentine rock. It is isolated, steep forested land. There is fencing work to be done, work in the orchards, weed control and building work on the hut.
Occasionally there is cattle work to be done on horse back. This property is only for those who can live a camping lifestyle away from shops and want an experience of the Australian bush. The owner can only be there on weekends and would provide food and camping accommodation but you would have to be confident about living in the bush on your own. It is a large property so the seasons dictate where is the best area to be living, in summer you live and work by the river, building the hut or eradicting box thorn and blackberries. In the cooler months you maybe camping up the mountain on the fenceline that is being worked on or helping with ... more inside
