Where are all the Helpers?
I am desperately in need of HELP in my garden as it is getting to much for me to do on my own. So if you are you fit, strong and have lots of energy to work outside, my place could be ideal!
Ultimately my place is best suited for a solo male traveller for maximum time of one week.If you have experience using a ride on mower and whippersnipper that would be welcome.
We have a LARGE garden on a steep block that needs some attention, including weeding, mulching, and pruning. I would like to emphasize that it is HARD WORK! Also if possible, I would also like some small general home maintenance jobs done, so would help if you are a painter or carpenter.
We are situated in the Upper Kiewa Valley in North East Victoria with magnificent views of Mt. Bogong. There is plenty of sight seeing and tourist destinations near by,including the Alpine National Park. I also operate a bed and breakfast accommodation with Airbnb.
I'm sure you will have fun here and en... more inside

Hi we are a family of five and live on a 60 acre lifestyle property close to all of the great locations in East Gippsland. A 20 minutes drive to Lakes Entrance, 5 minutes to protected Rain forest and great fishing spots, 15 minutes to gold prospecting regions and less than two hours to the snow during winter.
We are currently building extra rooms to our house which is totally off the grid so we are on tank water, solar power and wood fire heating.
150 meters down the hill is a great little cabin that is self contained for guests and family. The cabin is private and secluded but no shower.
We offer accommodation in exchange for some work. The work would include mainly building works but also some gardening, collecting firewood and helping with the pets such as horses and chickens.
We prefer non smokers and people who are interested in solar home off the grid living and enjoy the natural bush. A small town called Bruthen is a 4 minute drive for supplies or Bairnsdale which is a 1... more inside

Accommodation here is self contained and separate from my house, in amongst the trees and bush of Warrandyte. Morning walks with the dog along the Yarra River are a beautiful start to the day. The area is surrounded by State Parks, and includes the Yarra River so it is very peaceful, and good for swimming in summer. There is a lot of gardening and many odd jobs for you to help with and plenty of time to explore the Yarra Valley. At times help on community art projects may be useful. The weekends are kept free for sailing! If you are handy on a boat that would be a great bonus, but not at all necessary. (Those who prefer to stay on dry land are welcome to travel across town with us and explore the bayside areas)
It is a healthy property and seeks helpers who don't smoke or have unhealthy habits. Food options are varied and there is the choice to eat with me in the house or cook for yourself. Our local shops are five to seven minutes by car and this is also where a bus into... more inside

I live in a large regional city one hour by train from Melbourne in a comfortable three-bedroom home with a medium-sized garden. I prefer a young man willing to work in my garden, maybe a little house cleaning. If he has some experience in painting the exterior wood parts of a brick home that could be an advantage, and also knowing a weed from a plant (!). I offer a private room, internet access, meals (French and Italian cuisine) in exchange for four hours work per day, mainly light work, five days a week.I usually find that young helpers don't have much gardening experience and I am happy to show them what they need to do. The time that they do the required 4 hours of work on week-days can be flexible but helpers must be happy and willing to do a full 4 hours per day because I really hate it if I find that I have to keep urging them to continue their work; in such a case the exchange is not worth my trouble. I really prefer someone from France or Italy. I speak those languages flu... more inside

Our place:
Ours is a beautiful property in the voluptuous hills of South Gippsland. We have an established orchard, a dog, a chicken, and visions for a more productive, sustainable garden. Our home is a unique mudbrick pole house, cosy with space to be comfortable. We are surronded by dairy farms, birds and lizards.

We are a few minutes' drive or a 20 minute walk from the centre of town (supermarket, bakeries, post office, cafes), 20-30 minutes drive from beautiful beaches, weekly markets, national parks, and just over 1 hour from amazing Wilsons Prom. Buses run direct (2 hours) Korumburra to/from Melbourne several times a day.

We have bikes, musical instruments, mobile phone reception and WiFi in the main house.

Us:
We are a couple with two children (6 and 10 yrs old) with lots of ideas but not enough time. We work and study, surf and make, speak some French, love friends and try to live sustainably and fairly.

One or two kind, honest, motivated, fun, fit souls ... more inside

We live in Mallacoota, on the south east coast and one of the most beautiful places in Australia. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park with the ocean, lakes and beaches at our doorstep. We are 3kms from the centre of town, and 4km from the nearest beach. There are about 7 magnificent beaches within 10kms from us. BUT be warned, Mallacoota is 540kms from Melbourne, 630kms from Sydney and 360kms from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.

Our family includes Mark, Cate and our three daughters, who are 15, 13 & 10 years old. There are also a dog, a cat, a horse, 3 ducks, a rooster and 14 chickens (we sell the eggs locally). Kangaroos visit our property daily. Some of the parrots are now so tame at our bird feeder they can be hand fed.

Our 3.5-hectare property needs tidying, cleaning, and minor repairs. Work includes animal care, gardening, and helping with household chore... more inside

** We are not in need of helpers at the moment :) **

We have an immediate short stay opening (1-2 weeks) for two people who enjoy working outside. We are looking for helpers who are used to using gardening machinery (ride on mowers, whipper snippers, leaf blowers) and who like animals (dogs and horses).

Our family of 3 (mum, dad and a daughter, 15) live on a quiet 8 acre property around 35 kilometres east of Melbourne.

We're a friendly family that enjoys getting to know new people and learning about different countries and cultures. We especially like to prepare meals together as it provides a great opportunity to chat and swap travelling stories (and recipes!). For the time you are with us, you are treated as a family member.

The jobs that we need help with are varied and usually not difficult. We try to mix things up so that no-one is stuck doing the same things repetitively.

Work times are flexible (4 hours per day Mon-Fri) and in return we offer a bedroom,... more inside
