We are a family of 4 living in this small village south of Carcassonne. We have a one hectare plot in the centre of the village, next to the church, and are in the process of restoring the old stone buildings, building 3 new gites and landscaping the hectare of gardens. We have now completed the gites with fantastic help from Helpx visitors.
We now need to concentrate on the garden, we are not very green fingered and so any help is gratefully received! We need to do some planting, hard landscaping and general tidying up around the place.
We can offer a 3 bedroom gite for up to 8 people, plus meals on working days (until July/Aug when holiday lettings have gite.) Skills in building work and/or gardening would be useful but not essential. Enthusiasm, common sense and willingness to have a go more important. We would like 5 hours a day 5 days a week but can be flexible. See website for photos etc.
Our village is quite quiet in winter, there is a cafe which has live music events from... more inside

Our hotel is a fun, youthful, and happy environment. Our season begins around April next year through to end of August.

We would like help during the summer months with changing and cleaning bedrooms, making breakfast sometimes, and helping out in the bar and restaurant when needed.

We would also like someone who would not be phased by helping to cook dinner for 2 or 20 or more hungry people.

One enthusiastic person will do the job.

We have 11 bedrooms and a Licensed Bar, we like our music and play it loud and sometimes late. We are not your run of the mill hotel so don't expect a timetable or rotas. We are clean and efficient and provide a happy holiday environment. You will have time to relax and enjoy yourselves cos tired people are unhappy people and we don't want unhappy.

lf you are not afraid of a paint brush or dirty hands, If you can use your initiative and get stuck in where you see fit, if you are flexible with worktime and playtime then that will be a hu... more inside

We are dutch family with 3 (young) kids living on a farm in the sud-ouest of France. 1 our of Limoges-2 ours of Bordeaux. In summer we have 50-60 cows to milk and 30-40 calfs to feed/take care of. Besides that we have to check our fences for electricity and if the are not broken. We don't want the cows to run off:-) We love to have people around who can give us a hand during the day/mornings so we can all sit, drink and have a good laugh when the work is done. we speak french, dutch, english and german so don't worry about the language. We can have people in from mai until oktober (as long as the weather stays good) thanks for reading our profile and perhaps we see you on our farm.

It is a little house, one room per floor, 2 floors. One garden. I have a lot to do, and can't manage to do it alone. I love to host, already do it through couchsurfing.

You can help me to paint walls, build birdnests, weed the garden, very light works.

I can pick you at the airport, bring you to visit something around between my countryside and the big city of Lyon.

Requests between february 5th and March 5th only.

We are a gay couple, we are 40 years old. We live in a house in the countryside located in the west of France between Le Mans and Angers. We are looking for a young (or foreign student wishing to learn or improve their French) who wishes to settle in our home to keep our 3 dogs and other animals (sheep, pony, donkey, ...) when we are absent (1 week about a quarter-end and 1-2 weeks per year). In exchange for this service, we offer accommodation (one room in the house), only a small fee will be charged for meals.

We keep pigs, goats, rabbits, poultry and bees, plus three cats and a dog. We grow most of our meat and as much of our vegetables as possible. The aim is local, sustainable and largely organic.
Work on this smallholding includes feeding, cleaning and managing beasts; planting, hoeing and weeding vegetables; various DIY such as maintaining animal shelters, exterior painting and completing overdue sauna; and there is always wood to cut, spilt and stack. At times there is the opportunity to participate in the slaughter, butchery and processing of the animals.
It is 50 years since this stopped being a watermill and 5 since it became our home. Now restored it offers quiet tranquility, Nicky's wonderful food and a covered pool.

Two friends, we live in the central Pyrenees 100km SW of Toulouse, in a little village of 260 inhabitants at the foot of the high mountains. We bought a large house here 17 years ago and are restoring it step by step. Our latest creation is to transform the barn into a 'pub', which will be used to perform traditional Irish music (musicians welcome). We need help with restoration work and in our garden (1/3 hectare), part of which is used for vegetable production. We need a carpenter and a builder to restore a little barn next to the pub where the last helpers built a outdoor bread oven.We ask 5 hours work a day per person, 6 days a week.We need help with housework. We give private room. We are not vegetarian. We can speak french of course, spanish, english and a little bit of german. We are gay friendly. The region is good for walking and other mountain sports. The river Job passes at the end of the garden. See you soon!

We have Charentaise stone barn conversion that is in the process of being renovated into a house. We are surrounded by vineyards & sunflowers & maize and near to Cognac and several other lively towns in Western France.
My husband is a carpenter and I am his Goffer!
We are looking for someone who is either skilled / semi-skilled in general building work , not afraid of a bit of hard work and who enjoys variety in his day- but we do believe in enjoying life too !!
Unfortunately we cannot offer pay, our budget is very tight BUT we can offer good food, local wine and free accommodation for a pair of helping hands several hours each day. Come and enjoy the Charente Maritime as much as we do - we look forward to meeting you.
