Hey, I'm Kike (Short for Enrique ;)

I'm originally from Spain, but been living in Australia for the last five years working as a Chef between Victoria and NSW.

I can cook, but have experience in many other trades. Done a fair bit of gardening, construction, and will always give something a go, quick learner.

After few years working, it's time for a bit of traveling, so I'd be happy to come and help in your project while visiting the area and making new friends on the way.

I'm fluent in English, French, Catalan and Spanish.

I used to be a host in Victoria and back in Spain, check out my Spanish profile for more reviews: Host 8404.

Cheers!
Kike

We live on a rural property 25mins drive from Lismore and about 1hr drive from Byron Bay. We eat a healthy vegetarian diet - with an abundance of organic veges from our large vege garden. We also trade food with a number of our friends so almost everything we eat is local and/or organic. All our shared meals are vegan.

We've built our own strawbale/mudbrick house, utilising passive solar design. We have a home based business making tempeh, turmeric tonic, sprouts and raw cakes to sell at local markets.

We've got teo daughters, aged 4 and 18months.

The work we do here varies quite a bit day to day, depending on whether we're preparing for a market or doing construction, or something in the garden, so every day is different.

Accomodation is a room separate to our house with its own verandah and kitchenette. Our main meal of the day is lunch - it is a big, beautiful, delicious meal which we share with helpers. We give you food to make your own breakfast and dinner in the ... more inside

Rural non-commercial property in forested mountain region, in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, close to a lovely spot for cooling off in the creek in summer and the famous (or infamous!) Lunatic Hotel at Drake Village. Aiming for environmental responsibility and economic independence, moving towards self-sufficiency using permaculture and organic methods, with poultry and worms providing the fertilizer!! Goats later when there is a fence! Projects always vary, depending on visitors skills, experience and comfort levels and of course the weather!
Would like to construct using mud-brick techniques eg a cob oven and firepits, finish the shipping container conversion, the vegetable garden always needs attention, fruit trees planted and edible food forests established, current projects include construction of greenhouse, completing the 'eco-lodge' and collecting requisites for aquaponic system and building a hot room/sweat tent.
Off Grid Solar power, internet, comfortable beds in p... more inside

Hi, My name is David and I live on a beautiful Mountain property near Mullumbimby with awesome views through the hills to the ocean, often with friends and travellers visiting. There are also about 3 other people living here in various other cabins/houses etc.

There is forest (bordering National Park) and lots of wildlife and birdlife as well as tropical fruit trees on the property, we are also in the process of establishing vegetable gardens. We are off grid, the solar power supplies day to day needs.

The property is about 15 minutes to Mullumbimby and 25 minutes to Byron Bay. Meals are vegetarian. I enjoy meeting and sharing time with travellers and learning about other cultures..
