I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Bloomfield. I mainly stay in Bloomfield/Ayton at the moment. The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore the local areas. Making bee hives is another job in Bloomfield which is situated 35 km north of Cape Tribulation 500m from the Weary Bay Beach and a few kilometers from the Bloomfield River. In spare time we like to show guest the Bloomfield River and it Crocodile population.

Task also involve house work and gardening.

If we are lucky and the weather permits we go to reef and tropical Islands snorkeling, fishing and exploring.

The work is not hard, suits male or females and is always varied, recreational activities after work as swimming, hanging out at the beach, camping, crocodile spotting and reef trips.

We welcome you to our peaceful, friendly home in the Somerset Region. We enjoy hosting with HelpX & have had made lovely friends from all over the world. It has made such a difference to me to have extra hands to help & all our guests have left wonderful reviews about their experience staying with us. They have enjoyed the good food & language practice as well as seeing the real Australia. I have a decorative garden, food garden and chickens and I have really appreciated some help in exchange for filling, healthy meals and comfortable, private lodging. The work involves light gardening, (weeding, pruning, planting and watering) on a daily basis for about 5 hours (negotiable) in exchange for meals, lodging and internet. Suitable applicants would need to be able to share-house with respectful consideration for others and not smoke or drink in or around the property. Energetic, self-motivated & health-conscious person preferred. Private room with comfortable double bed available b... more inside

We are building a house in the beautiful, award winning Currumbin Eco Village. So if you are interested in houses built to work with the environment, and getting away from concrete and light pollution, this is the place for you. It's ‘land for wildlife’, so no cats and dogs but roos, possums, wallabies etc.. & more than 150 different species of birds. The neighbours are friendly too. Having finished the infrastructure, guest cottage and bunk house, we are now about to start work on the main house and landscaping. It is very exciting and rewarding and your input will be much appreciated.

There is accomodation for a couple, or two friends, in a private building with double and single bunks, Wi-Fi available. Access to a lovely pool and hot showers, gym, library and cafe. Great bush walks. Please note our previous ‘woofers’ stayed with us in a different, off site location. The beautiful Currumbin beach is a ten minute drive, and the Gold Coast airport 15 minutes away.
