We are renovating our house in Melbourne!

We're looking for helpers to help us out at our new place. The work will be gardening, painting, cleaning, landscaping, building, repairing and just generally helping out with whatever needs to be done. Extra bonus if you have training/experience as a carpenter/tradie/your own home renovations.

About you: We like helpers who can appreciate a job well done, ask questions when they need help and have a good eye for detail. Whether you've got skills or you're just good at learning and fixing mistakes, we don't mind so long as you enjoy helping out and getting involved when the work needs to be done, and sitting down for a chat and a meal when we're finished. We are only accepting non-smokers at the moment.

We're asking for approx 25-30 hours per week in exchange for food and accommodation. You will have a private room with access to unlimited internet, washing machine etc.

About us:
We're a pretty easy going couple moved to Melbour... more inside

We have a fully self-contained bungalow available in Preston, separate to the main house, with own entrance. Own kitchen, bathroom, lounge room and wi-fi. Close to tram stop and train station.

We are a family with 3 children, 10, 9, and 4 who are all home-schooled. In exchange for accommodation and bills, we would like help with our family 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. In addition, we would require a weekly cleaning of the house.

Ideal for an individual or couple that loves children, and are creative, self-motivated, and committed. Health is important to our family, as is open, non-violent communication. A longer stay, 1 plus months would be preferable, but not necessary.

I write and work in television production, and my partner is a naturopath who runs a home-based business.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, we are a music loving couple living in a large 3 level home in Reservoir, Melbourne with our dog Clara. Rob is an English teacher and Meg works in the film industry, we have both done a fair bit of travelling through Asia and Europe.

Our house has 2 bathrooms and is a meat free house- (seafood is ok) with a large garden 16km's north of the central city. It is a 5 min walk to the bus station and a 2.6km / 30 minute walk to the main train line which takes a 30 minute ride to Melbourne CBD, there are some shops nearby (convenient store, fish n chips, pizza place) with a larger shopping area inc supermarket and cafes about 4km away.

Ideally we would have a couple who are dog lovers and happy to work 2 hours a day for accommodation only and good at entertaining themselves, we have a lovely spare bedroom with very comfortable queen bed.

Work would include such things as dog walking, gardening / lawn mowing, washing windows, water blasting the path and possibly interior wa... more inside

Hi, welcome to the beautiful Daylesford region! We are Jill and Phil & beloved dog Buddy who is 17 years old, a little blind and a lot deaf, but still acts like a puppy sometimes!. We have relocated to the picturesque Ballan township from South Australia where we have been active exchange hosts for many years.
The property has enormous garden areas that constantly need clearing and tidying and we have some projects in mind to make the place our own. I (Jill) cook for local cafes and need a hand in the kitchen. We would like to establish veggie gardens, build a duck lake, a new chicken coop and some play equipment for baby goats that we have just acquired to join our 2 alpacas, 2 lambs and 3 chickens. We are adding a shower and loo to a little BnB we have on site so you can live independently if you so chose and just join us for meals. There will always be plenty to do - even just a lazy house sit from time to time as we do go back to Adelaide a lot. Ballan is well situated with tra... more inside
