We are a small, family run organic fruit and vegetable farm in the heart of the Norfolk fenland. We believe that farmers should work with nature, not against it, to produce the freshest, most delicious local produce possible. For us this means never using nasty chemicals or artificialities, relying on nature’s own remedies and rhythms to grow healthy, full flavoured fruit and vegetables.

The 25 acre farm grows over 100 different lines of fruit and vegetables throughout the year.
Any one week we take at least 25 lines to Farmers markets. These range from Apples, Plums and Pears to Potatoes, Lettuce and spinach.
We have 2 acres of orchard and approx 3/4 acre of poly tunnels. The rest is outside cropping.
There is always somthing to do, planting, weeding, harvesting or preparing for the many farmers markets that we attend.

We'd like some help to ORGANISE the house, also some FARM and ANIMAL work (horses, dogs, sheep etc) and general farm and garden work. Opportunity to learn about horse and dog psychology, or healing.

We would be happy with someone coming here for a month or two (one month minimum)

Lovely small farm next to huge woodlands and Dartmoor. We have horses, sheep, dogs, cats, teenagers and tenants. Also hay meadows and woodland and pasture.

We might be harvesting some wood from the woodland

Opportunity to care for horses - 2 equines here, i may be able to teach you some natural horsemanship, and there is lovely riding in the woods if time permits.

Also opportunities for learning a lot about dog behaviour and psychology and training. Many dogs here. And cats. You must be an animal lover.

Judy is a trained healer and can also teach this, and Nick works in design communications and climate change.

You'd sleep in your own cosy caravan in one of our beautiful... more inside

I'm Sheila and I'm looking for help to look after my dogs and to help to bring my allotment back into productive use. It would be from now until early April, but happy to welcome volunteers for shorter periods too.

I have 3 dogs, although one is a foster and is looking for a home. I walk them every day on the beach but they all need more attention than I can give them at the moment, due to work. If you have dog-training skills, that would be fabulous!

The allotment is very close to the house, and has several perennial plants, but it is a bit overgrown. I'd like to clear it and fill mostly with perennials, with some small spaces for annuals.

Accommodation is in one double bedroom. The house is a little chilly at times, but otherwise comfortable. A hand keeping the fire going is always welcome! There is internet available for volunteers and mobile signal in the house and village. The food is vegan. I'd prefer one person but could consider 2. I would prefer a non smoker.

Accommodation and English language training if required in our lowly but characterful three hundred year old fen edge cottage. Its scruffy and often a bit dirty as I'm decluttering days. But spring is on its way and its beautiful if you like animals and countryside and medieval cities and scruffy old cottages.

Its exactly halfway along the road from Cambridge to Newmarket. 7 miles from each centre. That takes about 15 mins in flowing traffic and considerably more in rush hour.

There is a bus into town(s) from the corner and there is also the park and ride service which is cheaper and quicker than the regular bus which is nearby so we can always run you to or from there in our car.

We are a couple in our mid sixties. I'm a semi-retired freelance English language teacher, teacher trainer and ex-author of resource books for teachers. I'm thinking of moving to Spain with the horses and Liam.

Liam was a contract manager in construction and is now retired. He is Irish and is ... more inside

A 200 year old cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. It has a good size garden on a slope with woodland above and is located in a conservation area within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 25 mins walk from Stroud town centre and has recently undergone major refurbishment which is still ongoing. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep...great for forest walks and there are lovely lakes to swim in nearby.. English, Spanish and French is spoken. Helpers stay in the house in their own room and share facilities like kitchen and bathroom with others. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 4 days p/week. I have a 9 month old baby daughter who's very easy going and cute. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, ... more inside

**We have space from 19th March for helpers who would like to stay for about two weeks.**

We keep poultry and rabbits and have a vegetable garden at our house in a small village on the Quantock Hills. We are also involved with our family horticultural nursery and smallholding two miles away, where our family also has beehives. We sell eggs and breed and sell hens and rabbits. We run courses in poultry-keeping from beginners to advanced levels (that helpers are welcome to participate in). We have an interest in sustainable/local food production and are starting to experiment with perennial vegetables and how chickens can be integrated in to a system. We kill and prepare our own chicken for the table.

We are looking for help for about 28 hours a week, spread to be mutually convenient.

After being shown how and becoming confident we like helpers to take responsibility for feeding and watering the rabbits and chickens in the morning, most mornings. This usually takes about an h... more inside
