We are looking for an individual or couple to help out at the hostel for the 2016 season (April - September)

Our hostel is family run, has 50 beds, 5 acres of land and is situated in the small village of Portnalong on the west coast of the beautiful Isle of Skye in the north west Highlands of Scotland.

Our ideal candidates would be able to commit to all (or most by negotiation)of the 6 month season. As we said, it's a family run hostel and it's hard to keep that feeling going if the staff are always changing!

Our hostel was voted, Hostelworld's No1 Hostel in Scotland 2014, 2015 and 2016 we pride ourselves on offering the highest level of customer service and cleanliness as well as a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for guests and staff to enjoy.

We are looking for helpers that are upbeat, able to get on with people from all walks of life and are hardworking, honest and reliable. All applicants must have good spoken english as reception duties are included.

Week beginning 6 June 2016: if anybody is available for this week or part of it please contact me immediately. I need help spreading compost in a field.
This is a croft in a glen on the west of Skye: 1 acre coniferous woodland, a little new woodland and a native-wooded burn, 4 cows and 2 hens; 2 working collies who are pets as well; the garden has gone to the dogs and needs clearing and sorting out. Lots of help needed with woodlogging, maintaining fencing, moving cows, muck-spreading, bush-grass-bracken-creeping thistle-docken cutting and clearing, digging and cleaning ditches, clearing paths. Not all this has to be done at once: depends on the season, weather, midgies, time available and the inclinations and skills of both host and helpers. Helpers should be happy to work on their own sometimes. I hope to install a micro-hydro-electric scheme this year so work may be connected with that.
Accommodation twin room and double room. You should be fairly self-sufficient in outlook... more inside

Set in one and a half acres of gardens overlooking the Moray Firth, with a private path that leads down to the promenade and sandy beaches, the Invernairne is perfectly situated as a base while visiting the Highlands of Scotland.

In 1879 the locally famous Doctor Grigor chose this prime site on the West side of Nairn to build his Italian-inspired villa and now the current owners Ryan and Camilla look forward to welcoming you on your visit to the Highlands.

Whether you seek sea views and sandy beaches, dolphins and historic castles, or golf and whisky distilleries, choose the The Invernairne for your perfect trip to the Highlands of Scotland.

We are a fun-loving B&B both Ryan and I have traveled all over the world and we can help you plan for future travels from Everest to The Caminos. We have a 3 year old son Maximus who runs around organising keys and driving the lawn mower!

We require a minimum stay of one month.
POSITIONS AVAILIABLE FROM AS EARLY AS THIS WEEK!

We are a family with a house under renovation in a small village in a stunning area of west-coast Scotland, within a stone's throw (OK, 5 miles) of Isle of Skye and other major outdoor destinations in this area.

We host couch-surfers short term, but we are happy to have people stay for longer in exchange for some help with the house and the garden. Anybody with any renovation or gardening experience would be ideal but there is also much fairly simple labour including digging and the like.

The helpers will stay in a 4-berth caravan which has electricity (we also provide a heater) chemical toilet, basic stuff like a kettle and a electric plate for cooking if you wish. We can also provide sheets and sleeping bags/blankets.

The house has a shower, washing machine, drier etc but is fairly spartan otherwise.

If you want to stay for up to 3 days please ask via our couch-surfing profile, for longer periods we are happy to have you if we get on, but we would expect some help w... more inside

Have a traditional timber framed barn that we live in while we are converting a 200 year old watermill into a living space, there are various stonework and wood work jobs needing to be done, also potential for willow work and associated woodland crafts to be learnt. We run a business that involves traditional carpentry and craft works.
The plot is 25 mins north of Dundee (an exiting growing city) and just south of the Angus glens / Cairngorm mountains, great for skiing, mountain/road biking, walking, camping, canoeing...
The plot is a sheltered meadow space bounded by trees and a stream, set back down a track from a main road with public transport. Kirriemuir and Forfar are local small towns 5miles away.
We are a couple in our early 40's with teenage kids , there are caravans with woodburners to stay onsite or space to put up your own tent/yurt,etc or to park a van. we also get involved with shows and events /festivals.
