First of all, two words here describe everything we're doing : CARE and PROTECTION of our planet....
A house, 3000 m2 of garden, including a vegetable garden, 5km from the atlantic ocean, in the hugest european pine wood forest.
Jean, me and 2 cats are living here.
Food : I use to cook mostly vegetarian meals.
We are mostly interested by sustainable living, inner living - spirituality -, how to create a new world no more depending on fossile energies, how to create less garbages and leave a cleaner and beautifull world to our descendants....
HELP NEEDED :
1- We need strong people who do not hesitate to do all kinds of tasks: for exemple : mowing lawns, trimming hedges, tinkering, making concrete or building dry toilets. .. People who know gardening and who have manual skills .. ..
ESPECIALLY: people who are not afraid to work without bothering at least 4 hours ...

Hi I need help now!!!!
I am opening the house after the winter and realise that it is just too much work for me to do alone!
So if you would like to come and stay in a beautiful home in a French vineyard and give me a hand with my spring clean, both in side and out, I would love to hear from you.
I also have several projects for the spring, from Now until mid June.
1. I have always wanted a tree house.
So if you have carpentry skills and are creative and have had some experience please get in touch.
2. I also need glass doors made and fitted for across the back of a room. approx 4m wide. So a fixed glass panel either side and double doors opening wood be good, or if possible folding doors opening all the way, in wood.
3.This room also needs floor tiles, 4m x 3.5m fitted and in-between ceiling beams neatened and generally making into a habitable room.
4. I would like to make a small terrace for outs this room. The area 4.5m x 3m is already level and prepared...

Hi everyone!
We are a collective / shared-house in South-West of France. We bought collectively an old farm 4 years ago, and since then we renovate it ourself to live in it. And we could use some help with that! Around the house there is two of us who have organic farm (vegetable growing and bread making), everyone as his/her own job outside the house. We are 9 adults and 3 kids in this project.
We are in a rural area, next to the Pyrenees mountains (we can see them from the house and it's beautiful, even when we see them everyday!), you can also take some times to discover the surroundings!
What kind of work you can help us with:
From April 2018, we'll do work on the house: we will work on two rooms (insulation, wood flooring, primer on the wall, etc.). It's possible to adapted regarding on what your interested in. Hi Helper :) I wish develop this riverside land to optimise growth of a variety of vegetables and fruits as a knowledge and skills swap centre for volunteers and a place where Volunteers can meet many other volunteers and discuss destinations. Any skill or knowledge you swap with the group that we agree counts as part of your volunteering time. That skill or knowledge you offer maybe key board based. More the merrier, you all have some knowledge or skill to swap, I want find out what that is, come stay as my guest, rest after your travels, dont work the day you arrive or the next full day, just help cook dinner, then after two nights if you wish stay longer you can start doing some volunteering or leave having shared some stories with us and made us a little wiser. The project here at La Mariais is to create a learning centre for sustainable living. The work with friends and volunteers is currently coordinated by myself (an English woman with a background in permaculture, organic gardening, healthy vegetarian cookery, teaching and ecoconstruction).
This year work will continue on the old wattle and daub house (applying lime renders)and in the edible/permaculture garden and forest garden (tree planting, creating garden structures and growing annual and perennial food crops). Designing and/or building a rocket mass stove, a solar shower, dry toilets and an earth shelter or tiny house on the land is also a possibility. So if you have skills in any of these areas I would love to hear from you.
Creating delicious food with wild and cultivated plants is a big part of life here.
If you have skills in building or gardening/ landscaping you could really help to move the project on. However all are welcome.

We are located in a small village near the foothills of the Pyrenees in the region of Occitania (formerly Languedoc-Roussillon) in the department of Aude. We speak several languages including English, French and Spanish. Our village is old and typical for this part of south-west France. Our home is a century-old three-bedroomed house. We have no animals and cannot host pets. We have wifi and satellite TV.
We are looking for people from the end of April to June who can help with our permaculture projects and gardening and simple restoration work, including painting, carpentry and stonework, as well as daily tasks. No special skills are required. You will have lots of free time to explore this very beautiful and interesting region of France.
In exchange for four hours help per day, five days a week, we can provide you with a comfortable room and three basic meals a day, either vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Your weekends are free and we also rest at the weekend so we only provide...

We are an Anglo/Franco family living in an isolated, rambling farm house in the stunning Dordogne region of S. W. France. We need a lot of help from, willing and able volunteers with building skills to help with a number of projects. 5 hours per day, five day week or equivalent depending on team requirements. with some weekends required (included in the 5 days)
We are an easy going family who enjoy laughing and life. We are converting a 12th century barn, still working on our main residence and creating three small apartments above our arts and crafts shop in our nearby village. Plus we need help with our vegetable garden, orchard and painting furniture for our shops. So varied work and never two days the same.
Whilst we will do our best and like to accommodate all nationalities, we ask for a good understanding of English or French as the work and using tools correctly and safely needs to be understood and your security is of utmost importance to us.
