We live in a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom timber home in a fantastic position. Your accomodation (own bedroom and small balcony) and meals will be provided in exchange for an average of 4hrs work/day.

We can always use a helping hand around the house and to help with the teenagers, so any skills from building, handyman, painting, cooking, art, music would be welcome!

Hello - We are the Taylor family from outback New South Wales. We are always looking for helpers all year round. Our station is 12km from White Cliffs which is home to 100-200 people some mining for opals, others just seasonal workers. This is predominantly a Sheep and Cattle Station with some Goats as well. There is no busy time for us as we are busy all year round.
We are looking for people to help out with all types of work including general maintenance, sheep work, building work, gardening, mustering, cleaning, and the list goes on and on.
Some days you will do quite a few hours and some days not many.
We look forward to hearing from you......

This small farm producers mostly vegetables for our own eating pleasure. Sometimes excess is sold at the local fruit and vegetable shop or at the weekly farmers market. The property is emersed in the rainforest, has its own spring feed creek with waterhole, with views to the border ranges. We are on solar power, have spring fed water, composting toilet and many permaculture principles in place. Mt burrell is situated between the villages of Uki and Nimbin, being 15 minutes from each, and we are an hour from the beach. The aim of the game is trying to live a life beyond sustainability. Work trade can take many forms,. there is always gardening to do. The chook pen is built but a coop is needed to be designed and added. Help with home duties is also available, which can be a better option on hot days. Accomodation is a private deck with views to the mountains under a queen sized mozzie net on a futon bed. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and enjoy your travels and we... more inside

At the moment I only have one bedroom (single bed) available in my home but there is plenty of room for camping (can organise tents and gear if needed).

We need help with all sorts of projects from setting up an orchard and vegetable garden to concreting and building. People with trade experience would be especially welcome but this is not necessary if you are keen to work and learn.

We work hard here some days and not others. All helpers must LOVE dogs as there are a lot here and they are all special.

Internet access used to be acceptable but is now terrible - no skype and no file sharing.

Our farm is isolated so there are no outside activities. Helpxers must be able to find their own amusement on the farm. There is plenty of wildlife - wombats, roos, birds, platypus, turtles, echidnas etc but you must search for them patiently and on your own. There are plenty of snakes but most of them mind their own business.

Swimming is possible in the dam but not on the day... more inside

Quaama is a peaceful village on the beautiful Far South Coast, pop approx.300.
My property is right in the centre of the village. The land slopes down to a dam. There is an orchard, a berry garden, a large vegetable garden, the remainder ornamental( in development) I grow some bonsai for sale, so have a couple of small green houses to propagate the plants in and to groom them for sale.
I live alone with my large placid dog Jock. I try to be as self sufficient as possible. My house is quite large and comfortable in winter and summer. There are two spare bedrooms, though one is at present used as an office. The Far south Coast is a beautiful undeveloped part of NSW, the coast is stunning and the hinterland very pretty.
The coast is close by as well as various national parks. The bus from Sydney and Melbourne stops inside the village.
I was born in Holland and speak Dutch as well as english and some rusty french.I prefer stays longer than 4 days, if we are getting on.
Oh, ... more inside

I live in a small community north west of Hornsby, a northern suburb of sydney. It is about 2 hours out of Sydney (put st albans into google maps). I am on half an acre and need help with maintanence of the house and land. At the moment it is mainly establishing a vegie patch, clearing an area of weeds and some fencing for the animals. The community is very relaxed and alternative. It is on the back road north, near wisemans ferry. If you don't have a car I can pick up from Hornsby. happy to have couples or singles.
