We are a family of three, mum dad and 16 year old daughter. We are in the process of turning our land into an organic vegetable smallholding with cafe. We are also renovating the property into two homes with gite.
We have chickens, goats, pigs and three mad dogs who will lick you to death.
We are non smokers but don't mind if people do. We love music and are a lively family, we like to have fun so a good sense of humour and people who are not too serious would suit us.It would be really good if we found someone who is strong and not afraid of hard work i.e digging , moving stones etc. Thanks
We want people who can help with the land preparing it for growing stuff and developing the organic project so people with that sort of experience would be great. Also building so any skills in relation to renovating buildings would also be good.Mark is a great cook so you would have tasty meals. We live in a beautiful area in Northern France good for walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing and ... more inside

hello everyone,

for the last 2 years we have been re-building a 13th century templers chappelle( see the website and link to the chapel for more pictures). it was a total ruin when we started, with half a roof and walls which were falling down. we have managed to re-build the walls ( which are 1.5 meters thick, alot of work i dont mind telling you 8), make a new roof with traditional mortice and tenon beam construction, make new floors inside and put most of the basic structure in place.

we will be ready to re-start in april, for what we hope will be the final push on this project and are looking for help to finish up plumbing, electrics, plastering, painting, carpentry, basically you name it we could do with a little help with it!! also there will be jobs that need doing in the grounds, clearing up the garden, building walls, making pathways etc.
we have 2 caravans, which are pretty basic but which come to feel quite homey, i ve lived in one of them myself over the last 2 y... more inside

Hello, we are Gerard and Charlotte, a French couple in our 50's running a horse farm in the heart of Brittany. We have 3 daughters. One still lives at home and ride the horses at a high level of competition. We have 2 very kind dogs and 3 cats. We have about 10 horses but the number varies all the time.

The farm is on a top of a hill surrounded by forest with a river down the property. It is very peaceful and made for nature lovers here. We have a nice two bedrooms wooden house for you to stay. We would be happy to share our meals with you in our stone house (close to the wooden house) where we live. The house is made with stones from the 16th century and Charlotte has finished the last renovation a couple of years ago. She also freshly build the wooden house and only the terrace is missing. If you are interested, she can teach you about modern and traditionnal renovation.

We don't speak English fluently but we'll do our best to communicate with you and teach you everything w... more inside

We are a Cider and Calvados organic farm which also produces a variety of crops along with milk. There are interesting outdoor jobs over the coming months which include working with animals, painting fences, clearing and forestry work, and the restoration of a farm building into an artists gallery. We particulary need help with stonewalling and door making if anyone has experience in that.

There is wifi access and helpers will usually have a large bedroom that may be shared with one other person possibly some of the time. We are asking for 6 hours work a day monday to friday for your accommodation and food, (with a bottle of cider with your dinner each night if you fancy it). We can collect you and drop you off at the train station, (Caen/Bayeux/Audrieu). Languages spoken here include French, English and German.

Please contact us to let us know what you would like to get out of the experience and see our website to check out our farm.
