****MARCH 2014 UPDATE****
We are now able to host helpers once again on our farm.
This year is going to be a busy one for us because John is standing for election to Parliament as the Green Party Candidate in our Wairarapa electorate.
See more of the Green Party here - https://www.greens.org.nz
So if you would like to get involved and see an election campaign up close and personal then come and stay!

We have our gorgeous almost 2yr old daughter Holly now so you need to be happy with a kid around!
We would prefer couples that are looking to do a bit of everything. Gardening, farm work, animal care, entertaining Holly and even some cooking if you want to share with us your favorite recipe :)
We are trying to paint the outside of the house, when the weather allows and get more fencing done.

We'll happily cater for any sort of diet, carnivore, vegetarian, raw food, gluten free, coeliac, paleo, anything you like.

We live in the beautiful Wairarapa and are working towards ... more inside

We are a country hotel on the Castlepoint Coast, 500m from the beach. Castlepoint is a crayfishing village on the Wairarapa Coast. The hotel is a very short walk to the beach. Great surfing, fishing, walking, diving. The hotel has accommodation, restaurant and bar.

We are looking for helpers to ease the load by helping with cleaning, cooking, painting, gardening and bartending and any other jobs that arise.

We would prefer helpers to stay for at least a week but longer term is great too. The work is not difficult and there is plenty of time for you to do your own adventuring.

We are 57 km from the nearest town, which is Masterton. There is always someone going to town at least once a week so we are happy to pick you up from the train in Masterton and take you to town when we go in.

We expect 4 - 5 hours work in return for accommodation and all meals. If you have a hard day, we may even throw in a drink.

September 2013 - At the moment we are in need for spring help! This will be mostly gardening and planting and general outside work. There is plenty going on, including a couple of cute calves to feed. One helper, or a couple, would be best :) We haven't had a helper in a while and miss them! Email us! Chrissy

We're a busy family with 5 young children. We've just bought a new place, and have plenty of work to do! We love our beautiful semi-rural outlook, with our own stream and plenty of trees and places to explore, but still only 10 minutes from Palmerston North. There's plenty of ongoing work outside, and we enjoy getting stuck in and doing it ourselves. We've got 25 acres now that we're working on, and would love some help with many things, including building, gardening, tree planting, fencing, firewood, animal care, household work and painting. We've got a dog, sheep, chickens, a goat, and cattle. There's always something going on around here - lots of busy-ness and noisy-ness... more inside

We are renovating our home and looking forward to working in the garden the minute the weather changes. If you are at loose ends and would enjoy a bit of country life for a short time then we can offer a clean bed and good food in exchange for some relaxed help.
This would suit someone who is writing their memoirs or needing a breath of fresh air.

Regards,
Katherine

We have a coastal summer home. Large garden which needs constant attention. A large home always needing general maintenance. We would be happy to provide accommodation and food for a few hours work per day. With probably 2 to 3 days duration. We would prefer mature non smokers, English speaking, with own vehicle as we are quite remote.

Located in the stunning South Wairarapa, we live in a peaceful rural setting 13 kms from Martinborough and 13kms from Featherston. We are 1 hour and 10 minutes drive from Wellington. As we are out in the country, having your own transport is best, but we can organise to pick you up and drop off at Featherston train station.

We need help with garden maintenance, some landscaping and house maintenance... muscles and stamina would help!

Each night you stay with us we will provide each person 3 meals each day in exchange for 4 hours work and you may be asked to help with preparing meals or washing dishes (Sam makes a great curry). We have plenty of space and our rooms are very comfortable - own bathroom too.
We're in our mid-forties, are easy-going, enjoy food, have lots of interests (play guitar, photography, art, sport) and are well travelled. Free internet.

We look forward to meeting you, having your help, and to providing a base for you to explore this beautiful area.
