We are located 30 minutes south of Launceston. We have 3 children 12, 10, 8. The visitor would have their own room and bathroom in a large homestead. Also would have use of a vehicle with prior arrangement. Jobs would and could include cleaning, gardening, tidying up general household maintenance. There may be some farm work depending on skill set and experience. There would defiantly be some work with horses also depending on riding experience and discipline. We have 3 dogs, Maddie (Kelpie) Bill (Kelpie) and Rosie (Labradore).

I live in a beautiful, remote valley in Tasmania.
I raise beef cattle and all my own food.
Spring is soon upon us, and I cannot keep up with all the necessary tasks to prepare for Summer and the next years food.
I milk my own cows and make all our butter and delicious cheese.
Recently, my husband and soul mate of 33 years died, and although I miss him terribly, life must go on.
If you have a week or two to help me spread compost on the garden, plant seedlings, stack some wood, carry dinner to our pig, I can promise you a beautiful place, delicious food, a glass of wine at dinner, a warm comfortable bed, and lots of happy conversation and laughter.
There is no transport to Lorinna, so you will have to call me so I can arrange to pick you up from Devonport.
I would like a conversation so please give me your mobile or email address. Look forward to hearing.

Inter-city homestay with friendly family who require help with young children, light domestics and over-enthusiastic garden.

Our family:
We are a busy urban family of 5:
MI (dad and general keeper of sanity) works full time from home in IT,
MA (mum and general creator of fun) works part time in HR,
GA (13 year old girl) is an avid coder and football player,
EL (3 year old girl) has an exuberant sense of creativity
RJ (almost 1 year old boy) is sweet as apple pie

Our house:
We live in a big old house (with a new kitchen/living) a short walk from the center of Hobart and with easy access to bush and bus for exploring this fabulous city. We eat extremely well (MA used to be a chef) mostly from locally grown produce, and top end meat and dairy. We are fairly active in our local community and try and get out most weekends - where appropriate you will be welcome to join us and our friends in these experiences. We are hoping to re-start our vegetable growing this spring. We ... more inside

Tucked away on 27acres within walking distance to a great surf beach we care for injured wildlife - in particular birds of prey, breed free-range pigs and have a variety of other animals including Highland cattle and 2 very energetic dogs including a 10 month old puppy. We are looking for someone to house-sit whilst we are away from 12 August to 5 September. Must be confident with the dogs as the pup is large and bouncy! Off-grid but with all the mod cons - NBN, Netflix etc and close to great beaches and bush walks including the Tasman National Park. There are a few unfinished projects in the wildlife rehab area if anyone was keen.

We're three adults, a four year old and a seven month old. We live near the restaurant strip and a minute from the cinema and bars and are an easy 20 minute walk into vibrant Hobart. We have recently renovated our house but still have a few small jobs that we would love your help with: landscaping/ planting/ small box building/ little jobs around the house/ baby cuddling/ cooking/ food foraging/ food drying etc etc :).

We have a busy little house but quiet evening chats over a cuppa are cherished. The house is light and warm and you will always have your own space for when you need it.

We're a gluten free and mainly vegetarian household but not strictly so we're happy for you to eat as you wish.

An exchange of food and board for four hours labor daily would be fantastic, please.

Hi I'm Leeroy and this is Anthony and our dog Bam, we are a couple looking for some help around our Launceston house (10 min walk from the CBD). We purchased our home 12 months ago and have started painting the outside as you can see in one of our pictures. We have also started landscaping and developing the garden, putting in rocks, new garden beds, paths and of corse plants. We would like to exchange board and food for a hand with gardening and painting. There is no painting or gardening experience needed just a willingness to learn and lend a hand. I work as a chef and Anthony is a teacher and we would love to have you stay with us. We have two private rooms one double bed, one single and provide everything for your living needs. Any questions please feel free to text or email me. We look forward to hearing from you. :)

hi there!!!
attention, this is urgent!
we are in need of someone who wants to stay for 2-3 months and is not shy of living in the bush. i have to go overseas due to serious family circumstances and Philip is staying here but not able to look after the animals on his own due to health reasons...no local help available...

my name is sabine and i am from austria, and live here in tasmania since 13 years.
my husband philip and i have given a home to numerous animals that have been previously abandoned. we'd love to have people help with feeding, farmwork, housework and cooking.

our place is situated in the real bush and everything that comes with it, as there is snakes, spiders and mice....but also lots of rabbits, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and different types of parots to watch in a natural environment!
it is also isolated from civilization and there's no shop around the corner to walk to, but there will be regular opportunity to go to town. any animal-and horse-crazy-... more inside
