We are a small but growing business - growing oyster mushrooms and organic goodies for sale at local farmers' market. As we work towards self-sufficiency we need alot of help along the way - people with experience in alternative energies/building techniques are needed as we want to produce the mushrooms as efficiently as possible.

If you have any knowledge in natural building techniques, can weld and fabricate steel you will be put to great use.

We are experimenting with Biochar - gasifier wood stove technologies and working on a multi purpose system to be run on wood to produce steam for pasteurizing mushroom substrate, heating water and producing wood gas or electricity if any of you have an inventors knack.

Raglan is a great destination and place to live with plenty to see and do while you are here! I need self-guided individuals who are keen to leave there mark and possibly take creative control of a projects that we have planned or something new that you may bring to ... more inside

I have a lovely warm double room to share in my home with my husband and two sons. It is the downstairs section of the house so a little more private. We are located in the heart if waihi which is a seaside town of waihi beach, with beautiful scenery and rich in mining history. In exchange for a warm bed and three meals a day we would like 5 hours work help in our cafe. Helping in the kitchen and cleaning up. With the possible options of learning to to be a barrista and preparing our cafe foods. Where possible food is organic and local. We are very happy where possible to show you the sights of waihi to ensure you leave with valuable knowledge and good memories. I would prefer two friends or couples with very good skills in English as you will be communicating with customers. Can't wait to hear from you, kerri.

Welcome to Si and Paul's place!

We are looking for helpers at least 22 years old.

We live on the coast south of Raglan nested within a large farm. We have large vege-gardens, growing fruit-trees and shelter and the property leads down onto the beach.

We are gay / queer but straight friendly... ;-)

We look out across the ocean, across the Aotea and Kawhia harbour entrances and down towards Mt Taranaki, infront of us stands Mt Karioi.

The house is beautiful but a work in progress (so building skills always valued), an outdoor fire/bush bath, and outdoor garden shower aswell as indoors, composting toilet, house powered by PV/Solar, sound-system and well stocked book-shelves. We have cattle, a sheep, and two dogs.

Weekends are the preference as we both work away during the week, and we can negotiate from there if you want to stay longer.

I may not always have time to show you around, as I am usually busy working away but you will enjoy the area's natural beauty. T... more inside
