We have an organic orchard mainly apples but also stone fruit and other fruit and veggies. Most of the food we eat we grow ourselves or get from fellow stallholders at the farmers market. We have a milking cow, chooks,Wessex Saddleback pigs, geese etc.
The orchard produce is our sole source of income. As well as growing fruit we pack fruit, make juice and cider vinegar, dry fruit and attend Farmers Markets.
It is ideal but not essential if you have your own transport because we are about 35 km from a town. Most mobile phones work ok here.
We are close to Coonawarra wine region, Naracoorte Caves, beaches such as Robe and Beachport and the Glenelg River at Nelson.
Our harvest goes from March until late May and we would prefer at least one month and preferably three month stays at this time after a trial period to make sure we are all compatible.
Currently we are looking for some help with pruning, mulching, looking after animals and labeling juice.

Hello

We are looking for a horse rider to help us for 4 or 5 months. We are wanting to meet people who are keen to train horses and learn from us. We are run a little horse and cattle property in the beautiful Kimba country of South Australia. We also breed Quarter horses and compete in challenge. Our property is 1560 acres and we run a herd of Braford cattle. We are looking for some help with our horses.

We would love a helping hand with all the animals. There are chickens, geese, pigs, horses and cattle of course. You will have the granny flat all to your self. Its a very warm and comfortable little cottage with its own dunny and shower. We shared all meals together and Helen is an amazing cook.

There are many places to see in the area Iron Knob, the Big Galah, Eye Peninsula, Whites Knob Lookout, Early Pioneers House, the gem shop, the Sturt Pea Shoppe and the Gawler Ranges. Kimba Has everything you need including post office, banks, supermarket, hotel and servo.

This is a large home close to all transport and the beach .I am close to all transport facilities . I am looking for assistance to establish a large garden with all it's intricacies. I have to refine the watering system and garden.
I have Accomodation of up to 3 at any one time and do not want people for more than 2 weeks at a time .
You will be a self starter with great satisfaction and enjoy creating and a good laugh.
you will work unsupervised for the majority of the time and from time to time be expected to cook.

I enjoyed being able to show people through the Barossa and around Adelaide as my work allows.

Our place called Talyala Hills, is in the beautiful Southern Flinders Ranges, 2 1/2 hours from the capital of Adelaide. Bevan's family have worked the land west of Laura since the 1870's. We established Smith's Farmstay in 2000 and have many repeat guests who love the quiet and beautiful natural setting with massive gum trees, fantastic views and starry night skies like you'd never see in a city

We are a couple who enjoy getting to know people from other places.
We live in a quiet rural setting and have cropping land, sheep and a few cattle. Our bushland is now regenerating after recent bushfires.

We would like to host people who want to experience rural life in South Australia and are willing to learn. We would
want them to share our interest in people, and help build and create a warm, natural and family-friendly environment.

If you have skills in gardening, carpentry, painting, website design and creativity, please consider spending some time with us.

We love the idea of having enthusiastic travellers through to lend a hand as they are always very friendly, easy going & love to see & try new things. Our oyster farm & its location will be a unique experience for you to see. Work includes helping load oysters into baskets, working on the barge picking up & off loading oysters, general maintenance including repairs & grading oysters in our factory using our automatic oyster grader. You need to be quite strong as loading baskets at high tide can be difficult. Accommodation in small shack on the beach or BYO. Food provided for you to cook, mixed diet. No children. NSI. Long stays will be negotiated after initial few days.
