Hello,

My husband and I are artists.
At home we speak English and my husband speaks German to the children. They also understand Italian as we have just moved from Tuscany.
We are just moving into a new home in the countryside in Dorset. We have two small boys aged three and two and I am expecting a third child in October.
The boys Alessio and Casimir are very sociable and love new people and we would love for someone who enjoys children and has energy and initiative to come and spend some time with them whilst we are settling in to the new house.
We can offer a private bedroom and bathroom as it is a three bedroom cottage, forming part of a beautiful country house with comunal grounds with swimming pool, tennis court, orchards etc. The boys love to be outside and there is plenty of space for them to play in the grounds of the house.
I would like someone who has experience with children and also who enjoys the countryside. There are beautiful towns nearby to visit and the... more inside

Hi!

We are looking for helpers in August and September to help with harvesting organic blueberries and looking after animals on our farm in the Dartmoor National Park blueberry

We are located in the Dartmoor National Park in the South West of England we have a lovely thatched house where we have a beautiful organic blueberry farm.

Our farm has some old stone barns, a few cows, sheep, Dartmoor ponies, ducks, chickens and bees for making honey. Also strawberries, raspberries, black currants and red currants, apple trees, plumb trees, damson trees and pear trees.

The fruit orchard has many apple trees and plums trees. The apples we make into juice in Autumn.

The farm has bees to assist in pollinating the blueberries.

The farm is a genuine Dartmoor National Park farm and the harvesting of the organic blueberries is unique opportunity to see how a small moorland horticultural farm works. The weather can be hot, cold or rainy and most of the work is outdoors so gene... more inside

My home is on the edge of a lovely Cotswold town, with a park/meadow a couple of minutes walk from the front door. There is a VERY small garden (but lovely south-facing terrace) with the house but there are various DIY projects to achieve and I have a rented allotment also only about a four minute walk from the house - and I need help sometimes with keeping that dug, weeded, sown, planted and watered etc! Plus there is a long-standing hope to erect a shed I bought some time ago but can't do single-handed.
I speak intermediate Spanish, my 15 year old son is bilingual. We're only too happy to welcome native Spanish speakers!
I've welcomed HelpXers at our previous home in Spain and fully understand it's all about interchange of cultures as well as a healthy sharing of hours of work - preferably together.
Ours isn't likely to be a long stay project, but somewhere for people to visit for a few days, help us on our way and meanwhile enjoy what the Cotswolds have to offer with our ... more inside

I am a single parent with 2 grown children and a girl of primary school age.
i run a small party decorating business and have a small general home and hardware store,

I am now in the process of equipping the shop

the wedding business is very interesting and demanding during the peak season of the year, because various wedding or party decorations jobs needs to be ready before taking them to venues.

This is very interesting but sometimes can be demanding due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop.

There are skills that can be learnt here which will be useful for knowing how to decorate for special occasions. how to design balloons and also how to arrange silk flowers and gain experience in customer service skills
you will also improve on English skills if this is needed

The person i am looking for must be a FEMALE that is very neat and clean

I am looking for someone who is willing to commit to at least a minimum of 2 weeks or more and also keep to th... more inside

About me: I'm a retired engineer living on a small farm near to Stratford on Avon. I have one large dog. I enjoy travelling, taking things apart but not putting them back together, walking the dog, going to car boot sales, hanging out with the grandkids and having a good chat. The farm is 37 acres which includes an apple orchard and a couple of outbuildings but is mostly quite overgrown. I'm building a large extension which will become a separate house. The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a big sunny garden for BBQs.

The job: Various tasks to help with building the extension, for example ground levelling, painting, earth removal etc. Some of the work will involve heavy lifting because this is what I'm not so capable of any more. There is also ongoing garden work to be done. Plus farm work when in season - fruit picking etc.

What I'd like from you: 3 hours of work per day. I'll go through what needs to be done and I will be around most of the time if you have questi... more inside
