We are a household of dad, mom and two children, 8 and 11. We live about 10 miles outside of beautiful kenmare, and very near the lakes and national park of Gleninchiquin. And also beach. It is a gorgeous countryside and many walks around to explore. Our garden is big and we desperatlly need some extra help to tidy it up a bit. We have a few projects on way as well, and have a small boat to do some fishing. We try to live a much sustainable life possible. We keep big flock of organically free range chickens! And we have a spare room very comfortable and totally independent to host someone with us. We would require someone that would be happy to do work outside the house like cutting grass, tidy pile of wood, help with the chickens, and organic poly tunnel. So if you dont mind doing a bit of work outside, we would be very appreciative of it. We have a spare kitchen near where the room is, and will provide food for the helper to cook for himself, but that said it can also come and si... more inside

We are a farm in Co.meath, Ireland. We breed alpacas, goats, sheep, wild boar, iron age pigs, old spot glouster pigs, chickens, pheasants, geese, turkeys and rhea.

We are in the middle of getting a poly tunnel to grow our own fruit and veg.

We will also have a veg garden.

We also have bee hives on site. Next to the bee hives I have a young orchard with 48 fruit trees.

Tasks that we would like help with on the farm are:
Collecting alpaca dung to keep paddocks clean
Feeding animals
Collecting eggs
Help with veg garden
Help with building animal runs
Walking the dogs
General tidying

I am sure ad-hoc jobs may arise.

I am flexible with the time for helping. Maybe a few hours a day or 2 full days (light work) 3 days off. But we can work something out.

Meat eaters would be preferable as I have a lot of meat to get through on the freezer. Haha I am only joking. Vegetarians are welcome too as long as you realise that this is a working farm that produces meat o... more inside

Hi there!

We are Eileen & Lauren, mother and daughter who own a vegan cafe Cork. We just opened 3 months ago so we're brand new! We are looking for an individual to help out! Accommodation & meals provided!

We're looking for someone who can help knock an extension of the house that was built before it was our home.

- If you are a tradesman (carpenter, electrician, plumber, painter, plasterer) handyman, DIY savvy or if you can learn quickly please contact us here :)

-We also have a lovely garden that needs some attention. We would like to be able to use some of the fruits/vegetables/ salads that we grow to use in the cafe; like farm-to-table ideology. So we'd love to host someone who has experience with gardening of any kind: organic, bio-dynamic, sustainable or even just general tending & watering plants, strimming, planting etc. (July is the perfect month to experience Irish sunshine!!)

-The cafe is on the ground floor and my mother (Eileen), my sister (Edel) and I... more inside

This is a smallholding which has a small herd of pedigree dairy goats, chickens and dogs (6). I sometimes breed my dogs and I show them all over Ireland at Championship shows . I try to use as much natural methods of farming as possible. Help always appreciated during the year . Process and pack the milk for sale, make cheese. I also have a small kitchen garden. Only time I do not host is during the Christmas period. The work load is not very heavy. Volunteers have a bedroom with private toilet and shower. all modern conveniences in the house. Please be fluent in English. I do not have time to teach you English or to spend time explaining over and over again, due to lack of English, what needs doing and why it needs to be done I speak a little spanish. I have a policy of not hosting lone (alone) females - sorry. Neither do I host people under 21 years of age. A good sense of humour and not taking life too seriously is a bonus. Welcome to a beautiful piece of land in the We are located in between scenic mountains in a very rural area. The nearest village is about 5 km away. The size of the land is 10 acres, divided in different parts on different heights. We have woodland areas, bogland bits and various types of little fields. There are also two stoneframed wells, a pond, a pool and a little stream. We have a big multi-functional wooden roundhouse, a changing number of tipis, yurts, bell tents and tunnels on the land, which includes also a campside for tourists. Our mission is to be as self-sufficient as possible and to set up various outdoor enterprises. The west coast and Killarney National Park are about 30 km away.

- Planting tree and bushes
- Making and erecting native american tipis
