Kia ora. We are a young couple managing a cattle and sheep farm in North Canterbury. We have 2 horses, 9 dogs and zero children. We are pretty well-balanced in terms of working hard and enjoying life and are totally interested in social people with a decent sense of humour and good work-ethic to work along side us on the farm and in our garden. We have just started lambing and are expecting roughly 9000 babies! Helpers would have their own bedroom, 3 daily meals provided, access to Sky TV in return for around 4 hours of work a day. More details on request.

In return for their board and keep the wwoofers help us out with work for 4-5 hours average per day. Work includes milking cows, feeding calves and general farmwork, gardening, etc. We have a large garden and pond which can be viewed on our website. We welcome energetic and friendly travellers.

We live mostly around 60% organically with a plentiful vege garden, many fruit tree's by the ocean. Hi - we are Paul & Kaye, married, both in our early 60's. We have 3 daughters in their 30's....all overseas. We have all traveled extensively. Our olive
farm has about 250 trees, we harvest the olives in June/July - the olives are then pressed into olive oil which we bottle and sell.
We have limited farm work available but could use help in........ house painting (inside and out), under floor insulating, building, gardening, landscaping, and designing and building a play house for my grand children on a platform I
have built in the trees!

We run five different houses all providing long term accommodation to working backpackers and international students. We first opened our doors in March 2004, and since then have been host to about 400 international visitors for periods ranging from one month to one year or more.

We often need help with all the basic things that go with maintaining three houses: cleaning, gardening, painting and sometimes some minor repair work. As you can see, we are also in desperate need of updating our website! We look forward to hearing from you.

Post earthquake update: yup, we need more help than ever now! I would also be interested in providing people with free accommodation in return for working as a volunteer helping the city get back on its feet. Send us an email or a text. Thanks! :)

UPDATE - we are available after the 27th April. We are a friendly couple with a 2 and 5 year old living in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. We consider ourselves pretty typical Kiwis and would love to meet people traveling around the world. We are pretty busy, both of us working full time, and would like someone who is happy to help out with the children. I have two horses which I compete on in Dressage regularly and would love someone who is a competent rider to help out, although this is not a requirement. We also have Gotland Pelt sheep and Belted Galloway cows, as well as a Flemish Giant rabbit, a cat and a dog. There is always plenty of work to do here including house painting, gardening, mowing lawns, some housework, mucking out paddocks, cooking the odd meal (I do most of the cooking). In the Summer here it is just a fantastic place to be, hot and dry, swimming in the Waimakariri. In the winter if you are keen on skiing, it is one of the best places in the world as... more inside

We are a small camping ground (only 50 or so sites). The camp is nestled below beautiful limestone cliffs clad in native bush and overlooks the sea which is just across the road from us. The bay boasts plentiful fish (crayfish, paua, cod, butterfish, moki and assorted other varieties). Seals live permanently in the bay, and we have dolphins pass by most days over the summer months. Whales also visit occasionally. Our campers generally spend their time fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, walking, or just lazing in the sun. We need help often with all sorts of general tasks - ranging from gardening and mowing to general maintenance, cooking crayfish, painting or cleaning - it just depends on the day and what needs to be done. Helpers can be assured of a warm welcome, good food and access to email. Accommodation would be provided by way of a private caravan. Helpers would be welcome to do their own cooking if that is their preference. There are just the two of us living here ... more inside
