Hi there,

I'm looking for someone to help out with Spring cleaning specifically clearing out the shed, moving furniture out of the house, cleaning in cupboards, the windows, all surfaces, floors. Help with throwing things away (chronic herder alert!) and starting afresh. Help with tidying up the garden, interior design and making everything wonderful.

We are a family of five, my son, neurotic cat Rosie, two guinea pigs and myself. I work as an occupational therapist both at a school and mobile so the house if filled with stuff. I offer a room but not food.

The deal: ten hours a week helping for a room rent and amenities free. You can use the kitchen obviously and groceries can be purchased nearby.

The house has three bedrooms with a large backyard. You would have your own room. There is one bathroom. The property is roughly 30min from Melbourne CBD by train and 55min on tram. The house is a two minute walk from La Trobe University and the Bundoora reserve.

If you have experience in renovations, land clearing, gardening, cleaning or are just fit and active and want to learn new things, we have something for you. We have recently moved to this beautiful rural area high on the mountain overlooking Lake Eildon next to the national park.

Water sports, bush walking, waterfalls and wineries are just a few of the things the area is noted for along with an abundance of wild life. If you have your own transport you might find it helpful as we are 20 minutes from town - however we can pick you up and drop you off some days if you don't have transport and organise to pick you up and bring you here from an agreed point.

We are only 2 hours from Melbourne and close to the towns of Eildon and Alexandra. Alexandra is the bigger town with 4 pubs, decent supermarket, coffee shops and other shops as well. Eildon has very little in terms of shopping plus 1 pub. We are also only an hour or so from skiing at Mount Buller and you can see it fro... more inside

Hi helpxers,

Im a mature male in need of help around the house establishing vegetable and flower gardens, there is already an apple, peach and frujoa trees on the property but I wish to establish more.

I want to create an intense high output "farm" based on permaculture and "organic" principles regardless that it is a small suburban block. I have just received 12 chickens and need to finish off the building of their protective enclosure, ( foxes are rife around here )

Most of it is small jobs but it has added up to a big job.

there is gutter cleaning and painting to do as well as furniture repair, general household cleaning and other tasks.

I expect work of approx 5 hours a day with 2 day off each week This leaves plenty of time available to explore our part of the world.

Healthy balanced meals provided for meat eaters or vegetarian.

The bedroom is large and carpeted as well as a garden aspect view out the large window, you can watch the chickens forage for inse... more inside

Hi,
We are on a 60 acre farm in the out skirts of Melbourne.
50 minutes from the CBD in a N/E direction.
My husband & 3 children have lived here for 17 yrs.
We have 33 horses, 30 of our own & 3 agistees.
It's a busy farm and never a dull moment.
We have chickens, 3 dogs, 1 rabbit & 1 Guinea pig but predominantly horses. There are many different disciplines that horses & riders compete in from eventing, dressage, endurance, showing & trail.
We live in the green wedge to Melbourne with the kinglake ranges in close riding distance. There is abundant wildlife from kangaroos, wombats, foxes, owls, deer & oodles of bird life.
We need an energetic, dynamic nanny / aupair who can use their initiative and work without much supervision. Someone who is motivated, creative and full of life to start. Room, board, pocket money & ride available.
Drivers license necessary.
Experience helps & speaking English also essential

Hello, we are a music loving couple living in a large 3 level home in Reservoir, Melbourne with our dog Clara. Rob is an English teacher and Meg works in the film industry, we have both done a fair bit of travelling through Asia and Europe.

Our house has 2 bathrooms and is a meat free house- (seafood is ok) with a large garden 16km's north of the central city. It is a 5 min walk to the bus station and a 2.6km / 30 minute walk to the main train line which takes a 30 minute ride to Melbourne CBD, there are some shops nearby (convenient store, fish n chips, pizza place) with a larger shopping area inc supermarket and cafes about 4km away.

Ideally we would have a couple who are dog lovers and happy to work 2 hours a day for accommodation only and good at entertaining themselves, we have a lovely spare bedroom with very comfortable queen bed.

Work would include such things as dog walking, gardening / lawn mowing, washing windows, water blasting the path and possibly interior wa... more inside
