This is a newly build home, recently featured in BuiltIt magazine. The ground has been landscaped and grass sown but now we want to repair fences, put in new fences, establish the garden and a vegetable garden, plant trees, possibly create a golf tee and green at opposite ends of the garden. Wood cutting, strimming, mowing, fencing, gardening are all skills that are going to be involved. Using tractors and excavators is also likely.

We would be happy to take some one on for a period of up to 2 or 3 weeks at a time. If it is 2 people coming together, perhaps only 1 or 2 weeks would be necessary due to the work required.

Your host is also a chef that has worked in Michelin starred kitchens so you will be well fed! There is an over friendly cocker spaniel and a baby born in August 2015.

We are 8 miles from Cupar for train links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen. Edinburgh airport is 50 minutes drive. The East Neuk of Fife is on our doorstep with good beaches and fishing village... more inside

Looking for one person willing to help paint the outside of 2 small cottages (see photo 1). This would be for 2 to 3 weeks any time from 28th September to 18th October.

In exchange you would stay in my one bedroom cottage (I will be next door at my daughter's house). There is wifi, radio and TV but sorry meals are not provided. The cottage is in the beautiful historic 18th century coastal village of Charlestown in Fife, just across the Forth Bridge from the capital city Edinburgh (which can be reached by public transport). Lots of lovely walks nearby along the coast.
