Kia ora tatou. We are a family of four (children aged 5 and 7 years) living rurally in Te Pahu, 25 minutes south west of Hamilton.

We have a small orchard with a variety of fruit trees, a small planting of native trees, white silkie bantam hens and three sheep.

Accommodation is a sleep-out with double bed (no power) but a lovely space and conducive of good sleeps.

Bevan works from home (mostly) making small instruments from native timber.

Nardene works part time for an environmental charitable trust based in Hamilton.

We would be very happy for some support in doing odd jobs around our house and property. These would include: tree pruning, weeding, fencing, small building projects etc.

We have wireless broadband which you would be welcome to use. Meals would be shared with our family (which includes a vegetarian).

We are close to Mt Pirongia for tramping, Raglan is about a 40 minute drive west. We are happy to try and accommodate some sightseeing when ... more inside

We live approx 10km from Putaruru on a cropping & livestock farm with our two boys aged 8 & 10. During the months of Sept and Oct my husband is very busy with crop planting and as I work fulltime we ideally need someone to meet the school bus (4:15pm), supervise the kids and help to start dinner until I get home. We have a self contained spare room with bathroom, and are happy to provide full board, meals etc. We have a small car that is available (subject to having a drivers license and driving experience). Putaruru is in the South Waikato and within easy driving distance of Hamilton, Taupo, Tauranga, Coromandel, Waitomo Caves etc. We are also directly adjacent to the Waikato River Trails. This would ideally suit someone that wants to travel and have a look around the Waikato during the day - and weekends would be free to either stay with us, or travel a bit further afield. We would be happy to host a couple or two friends travelling together.

We live on a small lifestyle block within the city boundaries of Hamilton, the city bus right outside our gate. We would host the guests in our home, where we have a separate wing of 2 bedrooms , large bathroom and lounge for their own use. The work we would provide would be mainly gardening, pruning trees and firewood gathering but there is work to be done inside as well

Hi everyone, we are a family of 5 living on a 1/4 acre section in small rural town in the Waikato, North Island, NZ. We have chickens a rabbit and 4 dogs, 2 of which my husband sled races with in Winter. We have lots of vegie gardens and are trying to plant many native trees and shrubs around our home for birdlife. We try to keep our gardening practices as organic as possible. Colin is a Deputy Principal in a local school and I am an artist and work from home. We would love help with any of the following: gardening, small building jobs(dog runs and fences), and general help in the house( I have had back surgery so am limited at times with what I can do:) We are only a 15min drive to many bush walks and to hot mineral pools (I am happy to drive you there), and only 1 hour from many beaches. We also run a Buddhist Centre and have a meditation room in our home:)

Hi - we are on a gorgeous property with a river boundary and lots of room to roam and explore. We both work full time in animal welfare and have two small children aged 4 and 6. We have many animals on the property, both pets and livestock including dogs, horses, cattle and sheep.

We have a completely seperate room for a helper to use, and meals are shared in the house.

We are looking for someone for a few weeks to help with childcare and household tasks - plus a little farmwork if you are keen. In return we can guarantee you will be part of a fun, busy nz household and will have plenty of opportunity to explore the local area and time out to travel more widely.

We are happy to pick you up from the local bus station, or even from nearby cities if needed. We do have a car available for the right person to use during their stay.

You would need to be female, honest, friendly and great with kids, and have a drivers license
