Hi, my name is Lynne. I am a sole parent to the wonderful (and nearly) 7 year old Lulu. Currently we live in Newcastle, NSW but I've lived all over Australia and in many other countries. Before becoming a mum I traveled extensively for both work and cultural experiences. Previously I produced music festivals, managed arts and community projects, and for the last 5 years have been a full time parent. Generally we have a simple but wonderful life, enjoying the beach, bike riding, , cooking, growing vegetables, dancing, singing, art listening to music, go paddle boarding, enjoy reading, drawing and I love to practice yoga at home.

We intend to travel to Victoria to attend the famous Rainbow Serpent Festival 25-30th January 2018 and am inviting a special person(s) to join us with free entry into the festival in exchange for child care

Our place is in a stunning setting amongst the native bush and wildlife of the Strathbogie ranges. It's a great space to relax, explore, and there's often a fun local event to attend.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 10 years old). We have a large garden, grow a lot of veggies, have an orchard of over 100 trees (every type of fruit imaginable), bee hives and about 50 free range chickens. We are both teachers (music and art) and I play saxophone in several bands most weekends (afrobeat, lots of west and South African styles, jazz, funk, soul and more), so if you like good music and visiting Melbourne, this might be a good place for you.

We have a friendly dog and a cat, and lots of beautiful friends nearby, in Melbourne and all over. There are lots of nice spots nearby for swimming (Polly McQuinns waterhole and Gooram falls), walking, riding and adventures. 15 mins to lake Eildon and an hour to skiing at Mt Buller (bus stop a few kms down the road). 30 mins to eit... more inside

Home is a large old weatherboard house in beautiful Sherbrooke, in the Mount Dandenong Ranges. This dear old place may one-day soon again become guest-house, like it was 100 years ago. Meantime both house and garden need plenty of tender loving care.

The hills are a popular destination, with native forests for walking, public gardens, villages, cafes and galleries. See: http://www.villagesofmtdandenong.com.au/

Sherbrooke itself is made up of a state forest and a mountain village. It is recognised internationally as the home of the Lyrebird, and many native birds visit us daily.

Sherbrooke is one hour drive east of Melbourne city, or 1 hour on the train from Melbourne to nearby Belgrave.

As a busy professional household this year we have been grateful for helpers' assistance with yard-work, household chores, firewood management and painting. We have a large organic home vegetable garden. Skills needed now include gardening, stonework, fencing, painting, carpentry and bui... more inside

We're a couple living on a 30 acre farm in the Otways, about 10 minutes inland from the Great Ocean Road. Our farm is in the hills surrounded by the rainforest. On our farm we have goats and chickens as well as sheep, and we also have orchards and a veggie garden. We're both live and practice permaculture and organic gardening and we love sharing our knowledge and experience with interested and hard working people and learning from them too.

We're mainly looking for someone to help us with general farm maintenance and working with the sheep. But we have lots of work available, including feeding and caring for the goats, chickens and pigs, maintaining the fences, building work, painting, cleaning, pruning the orchard, planting vegetables, rounding up sheep etc. There's lots to do so we can allocate tasks depending on what your interests and skills are. If you have a passion for something in particular, let us know, or if you'd like to do something new we can teach you. We provide... more inside
