Hi, helper is available now, you can come and enjoy the real Aussie life style in Cairns

I run a business and work long hours during the week. But I like to get away on the weekend for hiking, going to swimming holes, camping, fishing, boating, snorkeling, diving on the reef and enjoying our beautiful country.

I am looking for someone to do some house/shed cleaning, washing, and cooking dinner.
5 days a week, around 4-5 hours per day. If you finish your duties, you can relax the rest of the day or go out to explore Cairns. The house is close to the city, shopping centers and public transport.

I will supply a room, food, free wifi and some good memorable Aussie experiences.

This is a rural area and accommodation is separate from our living area in a comfortable shed.

We are currently replanting the property after cyclone Ita decided to fell numerous trees on our commercial passionfruit and Teak. Also weeding mulching, planting.

I am a wildlife carer and have four wallabies in care. Two dogs, Corella, horses and chickens. Help with feeding would be great. Horticultural work in exchange for accommodation and meals. This is not paid work.
Expect four to five hours work a day negotiable. eg accumulate hours and have days off)

In addition we expect help with cooking or washing up (depending on who cooks). Looking after animals. These chores are part of living on property and do not contribute to 4 to 5 hours.

Good WiFi. Not so good mobile coverage.

Heaps of vegetables and herbs.

20 km from town so own transport an advantage. However we can take you fishing and exploring the local area.

We are a professional couple with three children.
We live on a 10 acre rainforest block overlooking Trinity Inlet, with a seasonal creek. Our house is situated at the base of a lush rainforest range that offers bush walking with tropical flora & fauna and is located 10 minutes drive from Yarrabah, a local Indigenous community that offers rich Aboriginal culture, beautiful scenery and welcomes tourism. The area is walking distance from beaches that offer fishing & beach walks.
We are looking for helpers for general yard/block maintenance & house cleaning. We have an eco pool that requires ongoing maintenance.

Helper accommodation is a self contained, 2 bedroom level of the house.
We are 40 min drive from Cairns CBD so having your own car is an advantage as there is no public transport available.
