We have a 40 acre property located in the Whyanbeel Valley and adjoining the Daintree National Park and we are 25 minutes from Port Douglas. We have mixed crops, hay, cut flowers, rare plants, ducks, geese, peacocks and chooks. I am really interested in organic growing, permaculture, sustainable farming and agroforestry and apply these principals to the farm. We also grow a lot of our own fruits and veg. Our place is very pretty, lots of gardens, waterfalls, rainforest and freshwater swimming spots. Wildlife is abundant. I expect 4 hours a day and you get all meals, private air conditioned accomodation and even beer. No mobile phone service but we have wifi.

I also am an artist and have a gallery that I sell my ceramics and glass through. If you are artistic then I could probably use your help in my production work

Good English only please

I accept short term travellers (backpackers welcome) at all times so please send me a message.

Hello everyone, welcome to our "profile"! Helpers who have stayed with us say our English is very easy to understand, probably because we have worked a lot overseas. We are patient and understanding to those learning English and easy to speak to on the phone.

Looks like our next vacancy will be in February. This will be either for a non-smoking single person, couple or two friends to help with a variety of work, including in the house, cooking, some gardening and some light landscaping work. We also need help with small-scale, sustainable cutting of timber from unwanted trees, for house construction. This is not as hard as it may sound!

If there are two of you, it would be good if at least one of you has an outdoor, practical background, preferably with some experience with hand tools and/or interior decoration/painting. Chainsaw and carpentry experience very useful but not essential.

This home is part of a larger off-grid solar community known as starlight community in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterlands welcoming volunteers from within Australia and Abroad. We are very fortunate to be nestled in the Mapleton Nation park.

We have comfortable accommodation, several acres of forest/bush and a great local waterhole for swimming in on hot days. We share the space with wild Kangaroos, Wallabies and amazing Birdlife.

If you are open minded (and open-hearted) people who have a sensitive and respectful relationship with nature and their fellow human beings then you will like it here!

The main attributes that we seek in volunteers is that they work with enthusiasm and enjoyment, doing a good job they can be proud of!

We eat both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. We will always ensure vegetarian food is available at all times for those who prefer it.

Our home is approximately 35 minutes by road from Noosa and 20minutes from Coolum beach. There a... more inside

hey,

we love food, music and all that good stuff. we have a market stall where we sell fresh spouts that we grow along with sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha and bone broths.

we are looking for a couple/two friends with gumption to stay in our groovy retro caravan amongst the trees.

the main jobs in the garden at the moment involve carting lots of compost and mulch around and clearing and terracing some areas for planting.

Other jobs we would be especially keen to get help with from people with skills and experience in building/landscaping are building beautiful fences and rock walls.

there's always a lot happening here and we love having people around. but with our little people we need to balance our time with them so we will share lunches together most days, and dinners will be separate - all delicious meals provided

our place is in doonan, it's 15 minutes drive to noosa beach - an awesome surf spot and national park with stunning walks, and 5 minutes drive from... more inside

Come to Lofty Meadows, and help recover our organic gardens and return them to their former glory.

Our 5 acre block is situated in Highvale, Queensland. We are just 35km north west of Brisbane at the base of the D'Aguliar range. The area is rural and we are surrounded by beautiful mountains. Mt. Glorious is the closest and with an altitude of 600m and it's lush sub tropical rainforests has a wealth of bush walks for people to enjoy. Our surrounding local communities are rich in the arts with Mt.Nebo and Mt.Glorious being the hub for local artists and musicians.

The accommodation is in a rustic recycled timber hut we built in the forest Our place is simple and not for the faint hearted accustomed to expensive accommodation.

We also have insects and the usual Australian wildlife, SNAKES & SPIDERS included...all a part of living in the bush. To us it is very civilised and our three children and all our helpers are safe but if you don't like nature you probably won't like... more inside

We are building a rammed earth house using natural building techniques and developing our permaculture garden. The house is off grid in beautiful bushland and our electricity is produced from our solar panels. Our filtered drinking water is collected off the roof and other water is pumped from the river. We are inland, at the north of the Sunshine Coast, just one hour from Gympie and an easy bus ride from Caboolture (near Brisbane). The bus costs $47.

We need volunteers to help us with carpentry, cabinetry, tiling and flooring. We will work alongside you where possible but Stuart is also working part time in irrigation. The gardening is mostly weeding, planting and picking vegetables. We have also started some new projects such as making a kitchen for the volunteers from cordwood with a bottle wall too, an earth oven, a chicken house and fixing the roads.
We can offer home cooked meals... more inside

Hi, helper is available now, you can come and enjoy the real Aussie Christmas and New Year!

I run a business and work long hours during the week. But I like to get away on the weekend for hiking, going to swimming holes, camping, fishing, boating, snorkeling, diving on the reef and enjoying our beautiful country.

I am looking for someone to do some house/shed cleaning, washing, and cooking dinner.
5 days a week, around 4-5 hours per day. If you finish your duties, you can relax the rest of the day or go out to explore Cairns. The house is close to the city, shopping centers and public transport.

I will supply a room, food, free wifi and some good memorable Aussie experiences.
