We are a husband and wife team running a small, yet busy campsite in a stunning area of the North of England. We are a short walk to the coast, with breathtaking cliff top walks, great beaches and gorgeous quaint fishing villages at our door step. The enchanting coastal town of Whitby is 7 miles away and is the main draw for most of our customers.

We try to run our campsite with a strong ecological emphasis wherever possible. We live in a beautiful place, so keeping it beautiful is good for all of us.

There is always lots to do on the site. Some of it is creative, exciting and nourishing. And some of it boring and mundane - but all of it is in the fresh air and in a beautiful setting.

*** At the moment we only have space for helpers who are willing to camp (bringing their own tent, sleeping bag etc) in exchange for just 2 hours work a day plus 2 days off a week. Do drop me a line if you are interested :) ***

Set on the edge of the pretty fishing village of Beer on Devon's south coast, this 39-bed Youth Hostel is in need of a willing helper over the coming months to help keep it looking it's best.

The work here at YHA Beer mainly comprises of 4-5 hours a day of cleaning (inc making beds) with some occasional gardening and painting, and with 2 days off a week.
It's not particularly glamorous (can include a fair share of cleaning toilets!) but the reward of living in this lovely village just a 10 minute walk to the beach, I think, makes it well worthwhile :)

Your accommodation would be in your own room in the small on-site staff flat which you'll usually share with one other member of staff. There's a shared bathroom and small kitchen for you to cook you... more inside

I live alone in a comfortable farmhouse (if a bit retro!) with Aga and oil fired central heating.
I have a fairly large family of basset hounds which are my lifelong passion. I breed the occasional litter which are born and reared in the house and need supervising for the first few weeks. The adults live in insulated kennels and are exercised regularly . I breed for passion not profit and and try to make a real contribution to the improvement and development of my chosen breed.I also have a full time office job and am an international judge for dog shows. I cook well and enjoy a glass of wine with dinner.Length of stay would preferable be at least a month, though two weeks might be considered.Non smokers preferred though this is not a deal breaker.Driving licence helpful, better if clean!Help with setting up the vegetable garden and keeping grass mowed also would be great. There are apple trees and plums and damsons, and soft fruit .It was all a bit neglected when I took over andf I ... more inside

I shall need help in the Spring/Summer 2018 with my very gentle 15 hh horse, 14hh New Forest pony and general field, garden and house maintenance. (Sadly my beautiful dog has died recently but I expect to have another young rescue dog by then.) I live in a small village in The New Forest National Park, 3 miles outside the sailing/harbour town of Lymington. The open forest is right outside my front gate with native ponies, donkeys and cattle wandering free. It is a very beautiful area.

Helpers will have their own bedroom and bathroom, and a living room with telly shared with me. 3 good meals a day will be provided.

I need a male or female used to looking after horses, though they will probably not be required to ride, able to do hedging and outdoor work in good weather! I would usually appreciate 4 - 5 hours work in the morning and 1 hour late afternoon, though, with arrangement, this can be flexible. One day a week and afternoons will usually be free.

I am an art... more inside

We are a family of 4, myself Sophie (Mum), Alex, (Dad), Thomas & Cara (terrible 10 year old twins!). We live in the lovely rural village of Motcombe, North Dorset with our 2 dogs, 2 horses, sheep rabbit and chickens. It is a very friendly area and the countryside is stunning with lots to explore and do.

I (Sophie), have to have an operation on my foot on the 21st August and am going to be unable to look after my horses nor be able to do to much with the children over the end of their summer holidays. So we are looking for someone who is an animal lover, who is experienced and confident with horses and able to look after and exercise them and someone is willing to muck in with the kids and help out generally around the home, cooking etc.

A large double bedroom will be yours. We also have a separate cottage which we holiday let, which when unoccupied can be yours.

We do need someone with a full, clean driving licence please and a car will be available to you.
