Help required May to September for general gardening jobs in rural informal garden, including creating a new paved area, planting shrubs, weeding, and some pruning in existing woodland.(July has been filled now, thank you)

Anyone who has fencing skills would be very welcome as we wish to make the garden rabbit proof. Other basic maintenance jobs for outbuildings including painting,
tidying, sorting and help with emptying out storage areas.

John and Penrose are active pensioners but require a bit of youthful energy to help around the property. The property is a traditional Scottish farmhouse which has comfortable accommodation for 2 people travelling together, located 1.5 miles from a beautiful beach and 6 miles from both Montrose and Inverbervie with good bus services. This beautiful part of Scotland has a lot to offer the visiting traveller.

We are used to hosting international students, and run a relaxed and comfortable home where cheerfulness and sense of humour are a... more inside

We are a small, friendly, popular seaside hotel in the village of Cromarty and we are personally run by a local farmer's daughter. We have 8 bedrooms, a lively public bar & a busy restaurant where we serve delicious home-cooked meals made from seasonal local produce. We have a loyal client base - from both our local area & those from further afield. Many of our guests return time and time again.

We are looking for helpers to stay with us, generally over the summer months - duties would include waitressing, bar work, house-keeping and some general office admin. Experience in waitressing & bar work is preferable. In return for accommodation (your own room & bathroom), a generous food allowance (meals will be provided by our chefs), laundry facilities & free wifi, we would expect around 25 hours work/week, to include some evenings & weekends. Extra hours may be available for which the helper would be paid.

We are willing to be flexible regarding the duration of your stay but a mi... more inside

I have recently taken over a small mixed farm in Dumfries and Galloway. It is currently stocked with around 200 Black Face sheep and 30 Galloway cattle, but I have longer term plans towards creating off-grid tourist accommodation, setting up renewable energy, planting woodland, and generally diversifying in an organic and sustainable direction. I also run a small fruit and veg growing business supplying a local farm shop.
The location feels very secluded, but in reality is not too far from civilisation. Dumfries is around 7 miles away and Castle Douglas and Moniaive are both around 12 miles away. Public transport is limited, but I have bikes which can be borrowed and I am often driving to town and can offer lifts.
I have spent a great deal of my younger years travelling in various parts of the world, but am now doing my best to control my itchy feet and dedicate all my energy to this project. There is a multitude of jobs I need help with. The farm has been neglected for a long t... more inside

We are a boutique bed and breakfast set in a Victorian mansion house in the small village of Craigellachie in the heart of Speyside. Both the Malt Whisky Trail and the Speyside Way walking trail pass through Craigellachie.

The lodge is owned by Jodi and Scott who work in Aberdeen and stay at the lodge part of the week and run by Jo who lives on site.

We offer a relaxing spot for those exploring the area and there is a lot to explore with both the coast and Cairngorms only 30 minutes away. From the lodge it is easy to visit a huge number of whisky distilleries, castles, historic mills and picturesque towns. For the more active there are some great mountain biking trails, the River Spey - famous for salmon fishing- which is also possible to kayak on and there are numerous outdoor activity centres offering quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and many other things.

This year we are hoping to find someone with building/DIY experience to finish a few of the refurbishment jobs. W... more inside
