Hi,
we are a Basque family looking for an EASY GOING, TALKATIVE AND KIND PERSON who could stay with us in our lovely house. We prefer long stays (such as 2-3-4-5-6 months, from January to June) because of our little baby who is just 2 years and half needs someone as a reference instead of changing her babysiter every week..
We are a couple of girls (32 and 36 years old), both teachers, with a little girl and we would like to find A NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER. We want to improve our english level and mostly we want someone who could help us with house duties (2 hours per week) and specially take care of our baby. The work consist in picking up her from school, have lunch and put her asleep for her nap (12.30-16:45).
We live in Donostia, Basque Country, a beautiful city, European Capital of Culture 2016.
For more information, please feel free to send us a message.
Thanks a lot.
(we are able from January to June)

I am a fit and healthy, semi retired ex-teacher, living on my own in my newly renovated house in a stunningly beautiful hamlet and area. Peace and quite is all around with stunning views. This is in Almeria Province, Spain, on the border with Mercia Province so Benidorm is 1 1/2 hours away. The sea 1 hour away.

I say on my own? Sharing my house are two dogs, a cat, and outside, just along the lane, 3 horses.
I have bought a traditional stone house in a local hamlet, and have just spent three months renovating. This is not yet completed but at a stage where it is very comfortable.

I am in urgent need of house and animal sitters, that is all you will be required to do. Unfortunately, I have run out of money and need to go back to the UK to earn some money. This will be a two weeks on/two weeks off rota and I will be back during my two weeks off. If you can commit for longer, or even for just two weeks, please get in touch as this really is now a matter of urgency.

You will be working 5 hours a day for three meals and accommodation (a double room with ensuite bathroom).

We don't take in families/children/more than 2 adults.

About us:

We, Marianne(31), Josh(31), Owen(3) and Julia (born 15 September) live in the countryside of l'Ametlla de Mar with our two dogs Kees and Noor but will be moving to the village of El Perello at the end of November. Josh works as an electrician, I run the B&B, maintain the house and mother.

The area has a lot to offer; beach, walking, cycling, horse back riding, site seeing, etc. We advise you have a car, since there is no public transport to get to the house and both El Perello and L'Ametlla de Mar are about 7 km. (We have had cyclists, it's up to you).

We are in the initial stages of creating a permaculture demonstration site combined with a local agroecological information center/transition town community space. We have a 3 hectare site, a 5 min walk to the center of Medina Sidonia, a small rural town in Cadiz, Andalucia.

We plan to develop the existing mature fruit orchard into a Mediterranean woodland garden. Existing fruit trees are olives, grapes, figs, pomegranates, lemons, oranges, mandarins, loquats, plums, pears, quince, custard apples, avocadoes, bananas.

We are in awe of living with the abundance this land offers as well as hoping to influence people around us to take small steps towards living more gently with the earth. We aspire to making a difference in this beautiful world albeit with a grain of sand.

We can only offer tent accommodation so far. Apologies. Looking for a cheap caravan but no joy yet!

Hello! My good friend Colette is a mum who is in the process of healing from cancer, the past year has been hard but she has stayed positive and is continuing to heal and get rapidly more and more healthy through her chosen path of mostly holistic care and treatments, She has an 18 month old son Zebedee who is cared for by her husband Tim during the weeks that Colette returns for follow up treatments abroad.

Several of us families live off grid here in an area full of alternative minded folk from around the world, we are on the side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in south Spain, one hour from Granada and 30 mins from the coast. Nestled into fields of Olive, orange and Almond trees, In the hundreds! here near the village of Orgiva we live in our converted horse boxes, vans and caravans and yurts, spending as much time outside as possible enjoying the beautiful surrounding nature and weather.

When we ask Colette what would help most with her healing curve is that it would be s... more inside
