Hej, you, visitors. We are a team of 4 friends, in our thirties and we acquired an old traditional farm very close to "Parc regional des vosges du nord", in a small typical alsacian village, Schalkendorf.
Accessible by car and train (25 minutes from Strasbourg), the place is nice and quiet. We have a cat, chickens, a young German shepperd and 2 ecological permaculture garden.

We are in an ecological renovation process and will be happy to share our experience with travelers...
We are close to nature and most of the meals are vegetarian or vegan. We are setting up a 100L micro brewery for May 2017 as one of the project is to create an artisanal brewery.
The place will be an artisanal, touristic and artistic farm with permaculture gardening. If you are interested, feel free to contact us. We have everything to sleep and eat and we work in a good atmosphere.

To relax, we play card, we have a pool and a ping pong table...

3 of us were living in Paris before moving back to... more inside

Association Fauve promotes sustainable food practices along the food chain through cooking activities. Our organization seeks to educate the public about the social, environmental and health consequences of their food choices.

We have opened a Café early 2017, a sustainable restaurant in northeast France, 10min away from the city of Metz. We serve homemade tasty local food throughout the day. In the kitchen, people having trouble finding a job, are given the opportunity to learn cooking skills and get ready for a meaningful career in the food industry.

We are looking for international volunteers willing to help in the kitchen. They will develop French culinary skills and be part of a motivated team. We also hope he/she can share his/her culinary culture.

Ideal helpers should have a strong interest in sustainable food, ideally some experience in kitchens. Fluency in French would be better.

We're a family with two young daughters (5 and 8 years old). We live in a large house with a large garden.
We live in the east France mountains countryside named " les Vosges ".
Our work is optician and speech-therapist...
and we're a bit overwhelmed with the house  and the outdoor maintenance.

The full family hope to meet people from everywhere. We would like a viewpoint on the world and other cultures for us and our children. Learn english by these exchanges would also be very nice.

We enjoy music (my husband play bass and we have  few instruments at home), painting, drawing, books, beer, associative life...

So we look for open-minded people, who like children, art and countryside...

We offer lunch and an individual bedroom, wifi access. You'll have to help us with house and outdoor maintenance, small repairs, wood, eventually cooking or babysitting. I think, it'll represent about 3 hours/ day.

I bought this farm house in July and have so far cleared out the accumulated rubbish and dust of decades. The house is now clean and liveable so the renovation works and gardening can start!
If you want to improve your building and woodworking skills (my profession) this will be the place to come and learn! I could also do with help getting the garden into a usable state.
Get in touch and I can let you know how things are going and how you could fit in.
I speak English, German and some French.
A word to the pictures...
That's me with the long hair repairing a roof whilst I was Helpxing myself last year. In the background is a stone arch I rebuilt. The rest are from me and my 'new' house (it looks a lot better already)!
