This is a community of people that are passionate for the earth and sustainable living. We are slowing working towards sustainability. There is quite a lot of different verify of jobs here. Gardening, composing, tree planting, land care, animal care, building maintenance, roading, water and waste management. At the moment as we are coming into winter our main focus is getting all the drains cleared, roading, spaying of weeds and painting of buildings. In our spare time we have a lot of nice zones to relax in, we like to mix music, surf and create art.

I have availability from 11th June for a couple of weeks. I need help with the children, housework and walking Alfie the dog. You would need to have experience and interest in looking after little children, like dogs and ideally have your own car. We love having people who are enthusiastic and happy and able to fit into a family easily.

We are a family living about five minutes drive from Raglan town. We have two young children, aged 4 and 10, one of whom I homeschool and a young lively dog and a lovely home close to the harbour, with just a short walk down to a gorgeous little beach. We need help with gardening, general housework and childcare. We provide a pleasant private room and mostly organic meals for 4 hours work per day.

We love Raglan, enjoy watersports and are happy to help you have a great time!

HI, we are a family of four, Mum and Dad and 2 children. We are creating a permaculture farm in the beautiful Karangahake Gorge between Waihi and Paeroa. We have recently built a new home and have now moved in. Unfortunately we don't yet have special accommodation for guests so we prefer to take helpers who have a van or tent for sleeping in. Everything else you can share with us in the house, eating, washing and chill out time. We would however consider accommodating a solo helper inside our home if possible.

We are planting a food forest as well as cultivating annual gardens to grow as much food as we can. We also have pigs, chickens and beef cows. We generally need help with the animals and gardens. There is still some painting work to do on the house and small building projects.

There are beaches and beautiful rivers and bush walking close by. We look forward to meeting you and sharing some of our time with you.

We are a small family with one 9 year old child. We live on a 10 acre property. We are raising a few calves, a couple of pigs and we have a large vegetable garden and orchard. We have dogs and a cat.

Sue works full time and Luca stays home looking after our child and keeping the property ticking along.

We are looking for help with building, gardening, general maintenance and anything else that comes up. We like the beach, cooking and gardening.
We live in a quiet, peaceful place 5km from Ruapuke Beach and about 20km from Raglan (check out Raglan www.raglan.net.nz). There is no public transport where we live so own transport is prefered

We offer separate accomodation with own bathroom and shared meals. The separate accomodation is a large open space studio with couch, king size bed, with television and DVD. Internet is available in main house only.
At the moment we could use a hand with general garden work, staining house, cutting and splitting firewood, stone work, fen... more inside

We have a 9 unit motel and holiday park which accommodates campervans/tents/and buses. We can offer a self contained motel room or an on site caravan, free wifi, and meals in exchange for general cleaning duties/maintenanace work and painting.Would love to have someone for a long term, but of course we welcome any proposals.Putaruru is close to "everywhere" and though not essential, having your own vehicle will allow you to enjoy so much more of what the Waikato has to offer.Rotorua,Taupo,Mt Maunganui and Waitomo caves are all within an hours driving.Locally the famous "Blue springs",Hobbitton and Waikato river walks feature and we will be able to arrange transport to some places if you do not have a vehicle. We are both maori and I think we can provide other perceptions and cultural perspectives to your visit.

Kia ora
I'm a woman (late 40's) living in Waikino- a rural village just off SH2 in the Karangahake Gorge, between Waihi and Paeroa. I share a 3bdrm house with 2 flatmates who are busy and not home alot.

I have a small section 1000sqm and I grow fruit, veges, herbs, 3 chooks, and a beehive which is tended by a local beekeeper. I would love for you to come and experience a little of kiwi life..

I'm keen to meet people from different countries and cultures...it keeps life interesting and I would love to learn to speak French or Spanish but any nationalities welcome. I love music and want to hear your music and stories. I offer healthy homecooked food and welcome both meat eaters, and vegetarians.

I have 99 % finished building a bamboo / cob studio which you will sleep in. It is warm and dry and seperate from the main house so you have some privacy. However you will need to share the Bathroom which is also in the main house.

There is much work to be done and I like to m... more inside

We run an organic Natural Horse Management Centre close to both SH1 and SH2 40 mins from the Auckland Airport and 50 mins from Auckland city.

We are a fun couple with a new baby requiring help with clearing gorse, weeds, building (just basic), gardening and feeding the horses and chickens.

If you are confident and have good experience with horses you might be able to do more with the horses but my time is limited outside due to our baby.
We have a cosy self contained sleep out and provide food for your meals. You will need to be able to work unsupervised a lot and have a cell phone. A vehicle is a good idea as we are on a farm 25 minutes from the nearest town.
We have a beautiful place and look forward to sharing it with you.
