NAUMAI, HAEREMAI. Welcome! We are an older couple living on ancestral land in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty and when we arenít visiting friends and family around the world, we are busy growing, harvesting and packing avocados and feijoas for local and export markets. This keeps us pretty busy with feijoa season lasting from late March through to early June, then pruning takes over until about the end of July. Then we get a bit of a break and head off orchard to visit our two beautiful grand children living in Australia and some travelling with Volunteer Service Abroad until avocado season begins around the end August until Xmas.

It is quite a big orchard and takes up a lot of time and energy, and as we get older it gets harder to keep up with our vege and flower gardens, all the other usual jobs and of course travel! So, here we are looking for help for up to 5 days a week for at least 6 hours a day in exchange for food and board in a private cottage with full internet acce... more inside

We are an energetic couple with one son (17 years old) still living at home. We are 15 minutes from down town Tauranga and we have almost finished converting our farm from forestry back to grazing. We have a beautiful property with lovely river running through. We are also renovating our home so tasks will be varied from helping with riparian planting, general farm work to painting, gardening or odd jobs on the house. Plenty to do without getting bored any help would be wonderful.
There is so much to do in our region - from mountain biking to surfing at Mount Maunganui and a quick trip over the hill to see Hobbiton or a day trip to Rotorua. We would prefer you had your own vehicle as we are in the country.
We will supply a room in our house with your own bathroom. I will cook meals for you. We love having young people in our home. Ideally you would have a good sense of humour and be relaxed sort of people. Non- smokers please. In return we would like you to work 4- 5 hours a... more inside

We have a large older home and grounds in the central city which requires maintenance. My husband and I are the only ones living in our home as our children have all left. Our home is very close to the city, walking distance to supermarkets and downtown. Our accommodation is a two bedroom separate area, with your own private bathroom, entrance and a small kitchenette, no cooking facilities. Work required is gardening, general cleaning, maintenance And would like an experienced painter/home maintenance person if possible. If you like cooking we would enjoy tasting your cuisine.
We enjoy meeting new young people from different countries and cultures.

I am a semi-retired grandfather living on a lifestyle block in the country. My 3 bedroom farm cottage is a 2 minute walk to Lake Rotorua, the golf course and the local freshwater springs with lovely walking and bird life, 45 minutes to the nearest surf beach, 2 hours to Ski fields and 2.5 hours from Auckland.

Rotorua is a beautiful tourist town with many lakes, natural hot pools, geysers, forest walks/hikes, adventure sports, many picturesque lakes and streams, fishing and traditional Maori culture.

I am a self-employed builder by trade, and have a few cows and chickens on my property.

I enjoy watching sports, drinking craft beer, and relaxing at the local hot pools. I go to watch my son play rugby most weekends at a local club, youíre welcome to join me if you are interested.

I need a couple/friends or one fit and able person to help with feeding animals, weeding gardens, pruning trees, tending vegetables and blackberry bush removal for 4-6 hours a day in return for ac... more inside

We are a mixed race family, with older parents (lots older:) and with gorgeous preschool kids and lots of animals including 5 dogs, horses, calves, cats....on a lifestyle block in an area which is 45% maori, near to property steeped in history.

Dad is overseas most of the year, and Mum has to take up the slack all the time so she is continually overworked....

its abeen a long time since we had helpx, and last week had an amazing girl from Hungary pitch in and remind me of how awesome some people are....

we are continually busy, have been renovating, and its winter, therefore the house is often a tip, and frazzled, at this minute I have stuff in the hall to go to the shed but its dumping with rain so it wont happen....that's our type of life...

right now I need help cleaning, and gardening. possible help with children. though they are pretty amazing.

you can come help feed out the animals if you want, however generally that is not expected other than for the experie... more inside

We live on a 1000m2 property in the beautiful bay of Plenty, 7min drive to Katikait. 30 min drive to Tauranga, 15min to Waihi beach and a few min walk to the harbour where you can enjoy kayaking (I have two) or fishing.

We are looking for someone who will be part of the family for a few days or possibly long term if it suits both of us.

Jobs that need doing are gardening, weeding, planting mowing etc. I am interested in permaculture and organic gardening and living more sustainably and would like to learn more.

If cooking and domestic chores are your thing then there is plenty of that too.

I also have various DIY projects that the right person may be able to help me with.

I am flexible with working hours and days to work around things you may want to see and do in the area, as well as seasonal work.

My two young children are very outgoing and love company.

I would ask for no smoking or drugs on the property.

Look forward to meeting you!

We have a kiwifruit and Avocado orchard 7 km from Tauranga. However it is our large garden we would require help tidying up and improving the grass paddocks where we have recently had pinetrees milled. We have a wide range of tasks to choose from. Helpers ideally would require their own transport to travel to the large number of great places to visit within an hour. Such as Rotorua and it's lakes, Hobbiton and some great walks and beaches.

I am a single mum with my 6yr old son, whom I homeschool, along with our 2 dogs, goat, horses and a cat that graces us with his presence from time to time.

We are a very busy little family so you can't be scared to muck in. I mainly run a Horse trekking business from home where we regularly ride, exercise, groom and other horsey chores and sometimes compete. We also run school programmes and team building activities. We have only started so we try to chip away at a project every day.

I also coach and compete in Waka ama which takes us around NZ and the world regularly, you are more than welcome to join in on any of the trips if it works in.

We are looking for someone to join our family and experience the coast life. Coast life can be rugged and isnít for those who canít tough it every now and again. But we are a loving family and will make you ... more inside
