We have 10 hectares which is mainly native bush, with three holiday chalets, and 400 vines planted last September.
Our chalets are 3 years old and we recently built our own house on nearby land.
We are a family of 3, Claire, Richard and our daughter Tess who is 7 years old and goes to school in Russell. We also have chickens, a cat, guinea pigs and two dogs
A drivers licence and vehicle would be useful as we are reasonably rural.
We are looking for 1 or 2 people to help us with gardening, cleaning, childcare, and any other projects we may have on the go...
Your accommodation would be in a separate part of our house with its own bathroom and unlimited wifi provided.

Kia ora and hello!
June 15th onward short term still available..
Our home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley surrounded by beautiful native bush. We built this house using mudbricks (local clay) and green roofs. I use a basic mix of permaculture & bio-dynamic principles with projects.
We'd like to host people who have some life and work experience and who can work independently. Please arrive on a Friday so we can get to know each other and work together over the weekend.

We have a workshop with basic tools and I collected recycled wood, bamboo etc. for creative carpentry.

Other activities are mowing, composting, chickens, chopping fire wood, preserving, making vinegar and beer, baking bread, propagating, seed collecting....

You help us every day for 4-5 hours/day, we exchange accommodation - your own room and bathroom - breakfast, sandwich lunch and cooked dinner, mostly organic, when possible with veggies & fruits fresh from our garden. If you need snack or a spec... more inside

Our family home is by the beach in Paihia, an easy beach walk to town. Part of my life is spend on maintenance and gardening, part advocating for Zero Waste and Fair Trade, and part of the time overseas using my skills for others. In recent years I have been on volunteer assignments in Papua New Guinea, Bougainville and the Solomon Islands and last year I returned from looking after pangolins in Central African Republic, in 2016 year I spent a month cycling through Laos. I enjoy meeting people like you on your travels too.

Our home has a great location - panoramic sea views just by a sandy beach. It is an easy beach walk or 2 min drive to Paihia wharf and cafes and the Russell ferry, while a 1 hr coastal walk leads to the port of Opua.
I welcome you to help in a range of property maintenance, housework, gardening (and possibly boat-building) tasks. My preference is for two people travelling together who have good practical skills. Come for 4-5 days or longer.

We garden, and have plenty of work with variety for everyone..we have Wireless access to the internet. A GREAT LOCATION TO STAY BEFORE VISITING CAPE REINGA AND LIGHTHOUSE.

Based in Doubtless Bay we live on a 10 acre olive grove based in the Far North, NZ, which is only 5-10 minutes from some of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand (2 in the NZ top 10).

We are looking for help with mowing, pruning, spraying, landscaping, small building work and general maintenance around the property. There may be the odd babysitting on occasions as we also run our own media business as well as house work. All dependant on the time of year.

Currently need someone from the 23rd May on wards to house sit for a couple of days and then to help us round the property.

We’ve a double bedroom available for a single or couple that are happy to share that opens out on to the main deck with views across the olive grove. Or we also have space for tents if that is your preference.

Meals and accommodation is provided and if you like animals we've two small dogs and two cats that make up the rest of the family.
