Hi there, I am lucky to look after 60 hectares of Native bush close to the beach here on the Beautiful Great Barrier Island! I am constantly working on the property in the gardens , raising native seedlings and working on making the place something special.
I am also coordinating a charity fundraising event held over here on Sat January 2nd 2017 and a Family Fun Day in the north of the Island on the 7th Jan 2017 . These both a Relatively relaxed annual events where the locals and visitors come together for a picnic styled day out . A great way to meet people and get involved in a cool local event. Love to have any one's help over these dates , can offer some $$ on top of the accom and food deal already offered below.
please see the link below for more details on this event .

Hi I live with views of the sea, walking distance five minutes. Fishing kayaking bush walks, natural trees and bird life. Hot springs and tramping to Hirakimata . For the nature lover or quiet contemplation. Garden work clearing section of pampas grass, chopping wood, collecting seaweed. We can take walks to hot pools and fishing when weather permits.
Gardening includes mulching, pruning, weeding etc. a few hours per day! Enjoy the solitude and alternative life. Meditation, yoga on offer. Namaste.

We have a large property that has been in the family for 7 generation on Great Barrier Island. Great Barrier Island is a small island off the coast of Auckland you can only get here by ferry 5 hours or plane 40 minutes. We can pick you up from the ferry in Tryphena most times (some times if we are busy you will have to make your way to us.)Or you can fly in and the airport is just down the road. We use generators and solar panels for power so there is limited power.
We farm sheep and beef. My husband and I both have full time jobs outside of the farm so life is very busy, we have 2 daughters aged 12 and 8. We have a self contained accommodation available for you to stay in - it sleeps up to 4 people so you could be sharing with others.I will supply the food for you to cater for yourselves or sometimes you can join us at meals times. I would love some help in my over grown neglected garden and section and around the house. We can some times pick you up on arrival and deliver you to... more inside
